Haywood took the Covid win and never attempted to give Dyersburg the chance for a regular season win.

So by these words you think that Peabody agreeing to reschedule the Lake Co. game was good and well..... That's not the same song that youve been singing.....   Goose, Gander, oh well......

Actually, no. I spoke with Coach Jacobs and told him personally that I admire giving LC the opportunity to earn the Region win. My personal gripe came from asking for a game on social media then banning anyone that suggested Dyersburg.

And Haywood never gave Dyersburg a chance to make up last year’s region game when we got hit with Covid. What’s your point?

I'm just curious.  Do you know for a fact that Dyersburg even asked Haywood to reschedule that game?  I'll admit that I don't know a lot about what goes on, but I never heard anything about D'burg asking to reschedule.

Dyersburg wanted to dictate the time and place of the makeup game (I believe they wanted to play during fall break). There was also questions at the time if they were using Covid to delay when the game was played because they weren't at full strength.  Haywood was having its own issues trying to find games and makeup games. All irrelevant as we saw when they finally did meet in the playoffs. Dyersburg is the one who did not want to continue the series. Same with Ripley. People can draw their own conclusions as to why.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
