I bet Greeneville didn't have a single starter in the game after halftime. Heck they may have pulled them after the first quarter. East should of called in a Covid.

I do notice a predominance of teams with COVID and are going to lose by 35-50 have COVID forfeits. Interesting how that works.

From the Greeneville Sun:

  • At one point in the first quarter, Greeneville had a 27-0 lead despite having run just three offensive plays and possessing the football just a minute and six seconds.
  • Greeneville led 68-0 at halftime, the second most points ever scored by the Devils in the first half.
  • Ten players had a hand in on Greeneville’s 13 touchdowns.
  • The Devils scored six rushing TDs, three passing, two on punt returns and two on interception returns.

And then this little gem:

Greeneville totaled 394 yards on just 25 plays.

Blaze, I saw a little gem this am myself. The starting East QB threw all 30 of their passes, which means the starting O line was in there the whole time as well.

    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
    • I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
