This.

Obviously I would rather win and get home field, but if we have to travel, I would rather just go to Maryville and get it over with than go 2 hours even further down the road to Bradley Central.  Traveling to either is a loss either way.

Probably so, but you guys did get a covid win in round 2 last year so you never know.     Of course not wishing covid on anyone, but that is always a possibility.

DB takes care of business and finally gets past Stacy Carter's bball team. Tribe by 14

What is so ironic about this is what I wrote many years ago after coach GC made a statement or joke if you will, at the end of the DB football year banquet. It went something like this.He couldn't beat us at South and he won't do it over there.I said that SH was the team most likely to beat DB nearly half the time going forward. At that time,SH had beat DB about as much as Tennessee has beaten Alabama these days.

You are referring to the 2nd round game against McMinn like if we didn’t get the Covid win we didn’t have a chance. You are confusing yourself.

Ah, got it.    Let me try again.....    Just like you guys won against McMinn last year due to Covid, you could just as easily win against Maryville if they had a covid incident.          I was actually very disappointed that DB/McMinn didn't happen last year, plus they made us sit there for over an hour.    That would have been a great game to see, could have gone either way.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what happened.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
