Pirate I am telling you they are not as physical as the normally are, and I’m not so sure they would even beat clay county a second time.

Had 3-4 starters resting injuries tonight..  All starters were done early.. And if it wasn’t wet when Clay Co and Gordy played last week. Gordy would have won by 28+ And would beat them by more than 7 if they played again. Not saying Gordy beats SP but they aren’t as bad as you’re saying. Have a nice ride back to copperhill

SP will not beat Gordy by 35 if they play. I believe everyone knows that, but we are also not worse than our pitiful 2014 team.

Huntley and Gio will be in Albritton’s face all night long, Coalfield sacked him 4 times in two possessions. So what does that tell you? We sacked him 4 or 5 times tonight ourselves.

hahahahahha what a joke I don’t care what the record says Gordy isn’t fast or physical and 2014 wasn’t a pitiful team. They would beat this years pitt team based on the sole fact of physicality and coaching

I played on the 2014 team that beat south pitt and I will agree with Riddler on that.

I don’t know about all that bud. I think we should just all agree that the east is soft as baby crap this year

East is definitely down for sure. But saying Gordy is bad/soft/slow etc isn’t exactly true at all. They are a solid football team and if are at full health, have a good shot at getting to Chatt. SP is absolutely the team to beat in the East but Gordy is the only team that could possibly beat them

We were horrible in 2014. That’s widely known around SP as one of our 3 worst teams in the past 25 years. We beat Whitwell by 1 point. lol.. Personal opinion is that we were horrible but to each their own.

The O line was better on the 2014 team but that's probably it. 2014 didn't have a 28,7,2,75, or 57  not that it really matters but I think this years team has a lot more athletes and is overall a better team than 2014.

Oh I definitely agree on the more athletes but that team was tough and physical!

Who was our RB that season? I don’t remember any dynamic players on that team. We did have some hard nosed kids though. That SP Basin game was the famous cheeseburger gate game. lol

Sp will likely have a good Clay Co team to worry about first.

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
