I’m going to disagree with you on the H2O part. H2O is playing just as good Now ( key word Now)  or better than they’ve played in the last few yrs.

Now I do realize that you seen us at the beginning of the season and we were not that good. That I agree with!

We don’t have the three studs we had in the past and or a upper class man Price, but these kids are playing with confidence catching stride at the right time.

For sure still a solid team. Until I am proved otherwise I am going to stand by that. But, do you think you guys are better or as good as you have been in the past?

Right now I do… The team is playing at a pretty high level as of late. The offense seems to have figured it out.

As explained in the TC/Meigs post, I will have to go with the Home team (Watertown) in a close one. At this stage of the playoffs, HFA is an advantage/intangible that you really can't measure but it is there (none the less).

Hope both teams finish the game injury free!!

True, but there is no doubt MC will bring a crowd for sure.

That’s odd.  He can still play every snap and run but not effective because of some weird suspicion injury?  That just weird. Hope the kid gets better . Maybe the kid is better.  Who knows

He will get better but will be after the season is over.

Not a weird injury at all. Kinda common.

He played the entire game against us and ran the ball some. Must be an odd injury

He played the whole meigs game also after it happened except a few plays.  I would venture to say he is higher than 40% but he just makes our offense way more explosive with his ability.  He has been injured all year but this one is a newer injury.  Heart of a lion though and will give it his all.  We just have to find a way to get pressure on the qb.  If we sit back in coverage it will be a long night.  This game we will see what the young inexperienced dc has.  Who calls the defense for westy?  Head coach or a dc?  Maybe we can talk him into coming down.

Turf toe? I know personally that can be a beast to deal with. Can play, but can't move normally.

I expect a good game. See H20 pulling away late. I'd say H20 +12 line. If Marion is forced to be mainly one dimensional with the run, Hackett will scheme up a good game plan. Marion may bust a few chunk plays, but likely stifled most of the game. Bend don't break kinda D. If Marion's QB is truly limited, def hurts cause that kid can fly and reading about him, has a heart of a champion. Good luck and good health to both

I don't expect to see anything new from MC this week. We are who we are, which is a line em up team and out-physical the opponent with our run game. Could Dale have a couple of tricks up his sleeve? Maybe, but it sure is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Our passing game is so so, not a big enough threat to make H2O not load the box.

I think you are making the right call going to Meigs. I picked TC as the sleeper team to come out of the East at the beginning of the year. If Meigs handles them, unless there are unforeseen circumstances that pop up, they will be representing the East in Chattanooga.

That's what I have said, creature of habit.  Although do you remember his first stint here in 04 and 05?  I'm not sure where he picked up this offense but in 04 we ran the westy wing t with a little I formation and option thrown in.  05 he totally switched to a spread offense and had an all state qb because of it.  I liked the first year in 04 best and athlete wise, this year we have the most talent of the four he has been coach.  I love the wide splits that tn runs with their wrs that puts so much pressure on the defense, especially with a qb like tae.  You may know more than me but does the tight formation hurt a dominant o- line?  Seems like with wider splits their is more room for them to work.  Anyway I expect 9 or 10 guys in the box.

We have a chance to be really good next year also, but the offense will have to change.  We don't have a qb like tae and the others are more throwers than runners.  Same offense we are average.

I also feel like if h20 is better than last year, they will be in Chattanooga.   Luckily the game isn't played on coach t and the kids have the opportunity to prove the naysayers wrong.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
