I can appreciate your excitement. He is a good coach, but I think everyone knows he is only as good as his Defensive Coordinator. He scores points but most of OR games will turn into shoot outs… if he has any players left by August

To be fair, isn’t that the case with any Coach? What would Gaddis in his heyday been without Lussier as DC, Rankin without Nix, Quarles in his heyday without Jimmy Gaylor, Ditka without Buddy Ryan? And the list goes on………A HC is only as good as the coaches he has surrounding him.  That has always been the case, and today it’s no different.

Have we decided not to use players names this season but refer to them as "Senior WR. " ?  I know of a freshmen WR who is going to play at KCHS. If I know about him so does everybody else.

To end speculation.  The Senior WR we lost is not Rogers.  Elijah is practicing and working hard.

Willie, what is KCHS? serious question.

Looked like we had about 25 kids working out at wide receiver yesterday afternoon. haha Three or four looked like they knew what they were doing. Guess the rest were just learning.  Looked like Cummings worked them pretty good for just the second day. You could tell He was in charge though. It's completely different from the past. We'll loose some that can't cut the New Deal. Those that stay will be ball players, though!

This team is loaded at RB and WR.  Three qbs battling for the starting spot, all capable of winning the job and playing well.  Our problem this year once again is OLine.  I'm not saying that we don't have good lineman.  I'm saying we literally have very few big guy lineman type kids on the team to even develop into good lineman.  The big guys just aren't out there period.  We lost 3 out of 5 starters from last years line and the other 2 starters, Bentley and Snyder gave up playing football altogether.  Maybe we can run the A-11 offense where all 10 guys are eligible receivers.  I'm joking of course, but If you never saw A-11 offense before, google it and check it out.  It's a trip.

This is a fair statement. I should of been more clear in my opinion that Cummings hasn't always hired the best guy to call his D

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
