I do not think it will be close, but do not think the mercy rule will take effect, if it does it will be late in the game but I do not see Forrest winning this game unless Riverside has a let down.

That's why we play the games brother. Although if it comes down to coaching Forrest is completely overmatched. Fulmer did beat Spurrier a couple times. Forrest, if they hold true, will have a baffling gameplan and won;t be prepared for anything Riverside does, and they also won't make any adjustments. Hunter Bennett needs to be running the football. Long drives. Keep Riverside's offense of the field and don't give up big plays. No turnovers or penalties.

Forrest has to play virtually perfect to be in it in the 4th. But God controls it all. Otherwise there'd never be any upsets. The entire planet expected Forrest to go to Semis in 2019. That's why they are gonna do it tonight.

God will get the glory.

Forrest either wins a close one or gets mercy ruled by halftime. This bracket was laughingly easy. If Eli gets skunked tonight he needs to go. This is a game a legacy coach finds a way to win.

Mercy ruled. Can't believe the day has come when Forrest's General has nothing good to say about his Rockets. Its been negative all year. You might as well not even go to the game tonight. Read a book or something

After watching available games online with Riverside against E Hickman, Huntingdon, and Lewis I'm not sure this team is as good as the 2019 squad especially on defense. Riverside has an All State caliber defensive lineman and #90 is solid but the rest of the defensive guys are comparable to Summertown. Lots of young guys and several matchups a good OC can take advantage of. Offensively, they're very close to East Robertson when all the Groves are healthy. O line is about the same. East Robertson backs and receivers are better but Riverside's QB is much better running and throwing.

Fans who cough up the $10 TSSAA gate fee  should see a closely contested quarterfinal game that's decided in the 4th quarter. Previous matchups have been 21-15 (2019), 35-30 (2014), and 23-20 (2013). All were tossups decided on the last plays of the game.

However, The Forrest offense has the ability to make this prediction go up in smoke. They've played two solid defenses this year and put up 3 points on Marion's starters and 6 on Cornersville via a trick play. They also turned the ball over in their own red zone in both games. Against good teams we struggle to score any points or even get first downs. Against bad teams we struggle to score 14 points without the defense or special teams setting us up. Riverside should play a similar defensive scheme as 2019 and Forrest has had two years to agonize over what they did and did not call in that game and all week to make adjustments that weren't made in 2019. May or may not be a good one but it will definitely be a cold one!

For someone who's posts are generally defined as "fire, aim," you sure do get offended easily.

Thanks, man. Could have really used the third part of that prayer in 2019. Let's hope all 3 aspects come true tonight in our game and yours.

I hope for your team , school and community my prayer is heard, I am not a official basher at all ,but ,that was some of the biggest moment  horrid calls I have seen in my 46 years !!

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
