Both those teams laid the standard of where West should be every year in 5A.

Since 2017 - has any 5A team played in more playoff games than Central?  They have dispatched many a good team to the basketball courts- including West 2 years ago.  It’s hard to beat good teams twice in one season, but I think both teams come in on equal footing.  I think home field helps the Rebels - but focus may favor the Bobcats.

I want to think a different Central team will show up Friday night, but after watching the first quarter against DB last night I'm not high on them. Penalties, poor play calling and execution, more stupid penalties, coaches need to get things right in the players minds or the game will be over at the end of the 1st quarter again.

The things we do, it's ridiculous! We score, we kick to them, we hold them and are about to get the ball back with momentum, we rough the punter, we hold them to 3rd and forever, we rough the QB, and on and on. And then, from what I could gather the coaches get a personal foul called on them. We play the way Powell was criticized for playing at the beginning of the year. At least they seemed to have cooled things a little. And the West coaching staff seems to have their players under control. Doesn't look good for Friday night. The Rosser program played with controlled intensity, not happening now!

Dawg I could write a long book in the difference in the Rosser program and what you see now, but your son knows that I’m sure. The main difference in the players is there’s no Leadership. Look at the last few years, You had guys on the field that held everyone accountable, ALL THE TIME. It’s just a different group overall. The Coaching staff……again I could write a LONG book.

no. they also made the state championship game in 2016, too. 6 straight years with a 3rd round appearance. but I think the season will come to an end Friday. all central does it a running back sweep and a stupid fake hand off quick slant. the OC has maybe 5 plays on his playsheet. Dunno if it’s more of craneys fault or simbeck

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
