I believe SP played better this week. Cloudland would not have matched up well at all with McKenzie. They were even faster than us IMO.

I slightly disagree with you.  While the matchup might have been different I don’t believe McKenzie slows down Cloudland’s offense.  That bunch formation with those two RB’s was tough to slow down by us and would be for many other defenses.  I admire  Coach Benefield.  25 years old and has that much success.  He’s a good one so make sure y’all hang on to him @THE KING

He's a Homer. We love him and he'll do great things before it's over

I guarantee McKenzie wouldn't like playing 800 miles from home up on that mountain in 25 F temps!

I agree the McKenzie defense didn’t impress me all that much. It was a punch in the gut when #60 got hurt.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
