Both will probably slip a little...for every minute that one team is on his mind, the other is not.

Agreed.  Hard to concentrate on both.  Look at DC, boys were good and girls were not and now it is kind of reversed.  Middleton boys were good then the girls and now the boys, never both at the same time really

I agree hard to fully concentrate 100% on one when you both but most the coaches live ,eat and sleep thinking about basketball even if they have other duties at their schools so not sure exactly how much that pulls them until actual game day itself. By game day, the preparation should have there at practice. But also think alot has to do with the flow of players coming in through the programs. When a school system splits its area with kids with neighboring systems in the same county it will vary as to where the talent is for time to time. Tends it seems to run in cycles. Something comes along that brings the flow to one school or other. Could be new coaches, new facilities or kid moves in with tremendous talent and others kids and parent want to be in on that program.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
