I have to say Union City looks pretty stout after wk 2. I saw Riverside Thursday night and their a very good looking team also.Don't know how good Huntingdon is yet but I feel like they're on par with last years team which beat Union City by 34 points!

I’m sure they are good but not 34 pts better than UC. Ask USJ and Lake County. We will be ready for the mustangs when the time comes.

last year both LC and USJ hung over 30 points on UC. This year against the starters they have a combined 12 pts to our 81pts. Please doubt the Tornadoes.

I know the Tornado's are improved and look forward to visiting yall to end the regular season. If anything may hurt yall it will be the weak schedule the Tornado's play. Mustangs will be much more battle tested when we meet. Can't believe yall scheduled Liberty.

I feel like the west is open, and that Union City isn’t a underdog at all. I know that I am excited to see Riverside and Huntington to play in 2 weeks it really will show us where we are as a team.

The schedule was already made so I can’t help that but when we meet up you will see that we are a lot better than last year. Y’all scheduled McKenzie we scheduled USJ. Y’all play Trenton we played lake county. Y’all play riverside we play Ripley. The rest are our region games that you all play too and when the last game comes we will be ready for the Stanks.

Tyner was a first round playoff exit last year and has wins over Grundy and Howard so far, they shouldn’t be handed the title just yet.

Tyner has Marion this week....Marion and Meigs are the two critical District contest. Tyner will not beat Alcoa but should easily win the remaining games on the schedule.

Excited for Riverside's visit to Paul Ward stadium. This contest should answer a lot of questions for both teams. Riverside wants to run the ball and run defense is the Mustangs strength. Stopping the Panthers tandem of running backs will be a huge task for the Mustangs. Panther QB can spin it pretty good also. Whoever wins this game should be considered co-favorites with UC to represent the west. Worries me everybody is already ruling Westview out. If they can get improved QB play they could be a factor!

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
