From listening to the Westview game, Its obvious they are not the team they were a year ago, They could still make it but I can think of a few who very well could beat them. Tyner would have to be the front runner to rep the East.  Then again,its a marathon and its just a wild guess at this point.

To me, Westview is still pretty much an unknown...don't form too much of an opinion of them from the Dresden game, because Dresden was just a half step behind the top tier teams in the west last season, and returned pretty much everyone including the coach that built the team that Rang dismantled Greenback with.

Yeah I'm sure Westview will be in the mix but they are not the team of a year ago.  Dresden is a strong contender but dang,it looks like like about 5 1a teams in the west is capable.

You don't lose a Ty Simpson without falling off some. It was pretty much a consensus that Westview was the best 2AA last season, and this year they'll have to fight to be in the discussion, but they still can be.

Agree and I'm sure they lost more than Simpson. Its still a really good team,maybe not a Great team.

I believe MAHS was the best team in 2a last year. Westview won it all but I saw MAHS play Huntingdon and Westview. All the calls went Westviews way.

Consensus means the majority, not everyone, and not arguing that they weren't, but we all know how it played out so you definitely can't say for sure that they were...either way, irrelevant to the post.

After week 1 I would have to say Union City is the favorite in region 7 2a.
