Westmoreland announcer handcuffed

Very true statement. There difinately problems in our country. The media always shows the bad with the police but never show the good. Narrative has been set for us. I am not going to get into a political debate on a football site but I much rather have the boys  and girls in blue doing their job than a lawless nation. Most people not all but most when they encounter the police are usually committing crimes. Look a prison system and most are in prison for violent crimes such as murder, rape and offense against the elderly and the young. I commend the boys and girls in blue for doing this thankless, underpaid job. Like I said there are bad cops who do terrible things and should be dealt with in a harsh matter but that is a very small number compared to all the police officers in this country. We will just have agree to disagree.

Cops are not underpaid. In many cases they claim disability, retire, take a pension, and go on to other careers. A complete racket. More often than not you will find abuses of power, cops lying in court, a cop's word taken as hard evidence, as opposed to hearsay or opinion without hard proof, people not mirandized, property seized without a warrant. I could go on.

We have so many people in jail for pot alone. Esp in these smaller towns the police are barney fife types. Your take on cops is at least 50 years out of date.

the cop told him to go to the other side, he told the cop I can watch the game from wherever I want, cop had little man syndrome so he didn't like that too much and decided he was going to show this fan who was boss... After the fan and cop had agreed that the fan would go to the Westmoreland side for the remainder of the game, once they got off the bleachers he was taken to the ground by 3 cops with their knees on him like he just shot the place up, another cop standing guard and then some administration man (principle, or AD not sure).

my instinct is to believe this. cops bark out orders they have no business barking which are not constitutional or needed, they just feel it. when people don't fall in line you will see all kinds of evil. inarguable.

I assume you have some actual proof you could share with us.

Have you ever been a cop? No? Just like to pass along rumor & hearsay.

The lynching mob needs to get their story straight. As the announcer was being escorted down the steps, the man pushed someone down and then the officer dragged him to the end of the stands and did what he should have done! I was there and People started cheering but I didn't see the pushing so I'm not sure if the crowd made him mad first or they cheered after he drug him aside

great anecdote. an eyewitness who didnt see anything. perfect for a cops story

No I didn't see it but asked friends sitting nearby that saw it all so why would they lie . Why would a cop drag a man down the front and then cuff him if he didn't have a reason and phones and cameras everywhere! Think a  little

Of course John Ward called a game with emotion. What John Ward never did was go down to Florida,  call a game in gatorland, then step outside the pressbox during the game to cheer on UT and then get into a fight with local law enforcement.

I am outside the loop on this situation. Did he actually fight law enforcement??

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
