Marion vs Forrest

Hear me out here.

- Cascade kept Moore within 2 scores. Moore then paved Forrest's field with dead bodies.
- Loretto has lost both its games since they ran Forrest off their field. Steamrolled is an understatement.

This might be UGLIER than last year, which was 35-3 in the 3rd. Marion fans won't believe it. They will think Saylors, Zemen, Henderson and crew are on their sidelines.

Any Marion games online so we can see how many of those monsters up front are back? What's wrong with MC's offense?  Is the new coach not running the secret plays like the last two? Where's Marion Madness?

Saving them for the playoffs.  Realistically,  the loss of the big fullback hurt a lot.  Best offensive and defensive player, all state and possibly Mr football finalist.  The offense doesn't have a zeman, McClain, saylors that will punch you squarely in the teeth.  Line averaged over 300lbs to start the year but I believe some younger guys have earned starting spots now so we may be a little smaller.  This will be a close game.

Kind of shocked to see the Forrest faithful predicting a loss for their team.

Only Marion Co film I've found were highlights against Tyner and Sequatchie's highlights vs Marion. I will agree this team isn't as talented as previous Warrior teams but don't worry MC will be just fine.

Read last year's Marion-Forrest thread and you will see our predictions were correct in that game. I assure you we're not hoping for a lopsided loss and I would love to be on here Monday morning praising the players and coaches for a big win. However, reality rules. This Forrest team (missing key players in all 3 scrimmages) went toe to toe with 5A Columbia Central in the spring. We played even against 4A Macon County. And had a respectable showing against a good 6A team in Rockvale. This same team delivered embarrassing performances against a 2-4 Loretto squad and a 1A Moore County. We gave up over 500 yards rushing and 88 points in those games. So at best we're inconsistent and at worst we are not a very good 2A team.

The three teams Forrest beat this season have beaten Collinwood, Huntland, Houston County, and Tennessee HEAT. A who's who of cellar dwellers.  Athlete wise Forrest is comparable to Bledsoe County. The last three weeks we look more like Pickett County.
