You may very well be correct.  I do not remember much about Jones’s early years.

I will say this, they honored #1 tonight and well deserved, but that O-line he had protecting him doesn’t get enough credit for the protection they gave him.

Yep, not to mention the 4 receivers and a tightend that any team around would give there eye teeth to have, plus two really solid backs. But hay thays the way it always goes. In college ball you take an great qb on an average team: you get he looks ok, but you put an average qb on a great team: they'll give him the Heisman trophy.

Hampton totally owned the line of scrimmage tonight.  Complete domination.  All of these other 2a schools in upper East TN should take note of what Hampton does on a consistent basis and that is they run the ball very well.  They always have a tough offensive line and some power backs that run through you.  I thought you guys looked like a championship caliber team tonight.   Congrats.

SG looked young and smaller than usual. The wars of the past will return one day....it comes and goes in waves. Been washed around in many of them myself

Don't be mistaken , SG has size and several very solid players, this team should be better, something is just not right with this bunch.  I'm not real sure they are a TEAM.

SG has played a really tough schedule. I'm curious to see if they can right the ship offensively in the next 3 weeks and be ready to face what the other half will bring in the 1st round. Last year they choked pretty badly and if they lose 1st round this year, I have to think coaching is a factor.

If they don't implode, they will win the next 3 and ready to compete in the playoffs, Like I said, its not a lack of size or talent. They have several who would start for us .

Must be the issue but they didn't look too big nor sure either. We've witnessed times like that too

I know you can't let the monkeys run the zoo, but something happened late last season not real sure what. That turned the kids against the entire staff. So right of wrong i just don't think they come back from it.

It was evident, even on TV, that there were issues

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
