105 yards in penalties, 4 turnovers, yet still found a way to win. I’ve been saying this every week it seems like, but we have got to clean up the penalties. There’s just no excuse for it at this point in the season. With that said, proud of our guys for getting the dub.

Please tell me you got to see Willie doing the Griddy?

Yea, the penalties at this point are ridiculous, happens over and over and over. IF ( and they have not done this all season) they could play a game with 0 TOs and say 4 penalties max, I honestly think we can beat Powell.

OR can run the ball now and we probably have the best TB tandem in the state. We play good team D, but, we self destruct worse than any team I have ever seen in HS, college or the NFL.

Still fun night for the win. I'm proud of the team for overcoming all the flaws.

I didn't think either team wanted to win there for a while . Then the zebras got involved, they were flag-happy all game long. Seemed like Oak Ridge got most of them but I'm sure they tried to be fair and equal them out. haha

Once again we had too many penalties, guess we like to start at 1st and 15. Oh Well we won. Gotta watch the replay to see who got the block on the final field goal.  Guess he needs a WWA shirt!  Oh and my Great GrandSon got to start tonite, on the opening kickoff!

Anybody see the fumble OR had on the 1 yard line? Could’ve sworn OR recovered then lost it in a wrestling match. Really exciting ending for a non OR/McMinn fan.

Oak Ridge QB had it and the McMinn Co player tied it up like a jump ball in front of ref and somehow gave it to McMinn.Should of never happened because Jai scored play before with half his body in endzone and ref somehow spots him short.Plus 2 plays after fumble calls huge P.foul late hit on Rogers for holding the runner up from running into fence.Wasnt close. And then a huge facemask call that wasnt close to being a facemask.Refs tried their best to take McMinn down the field. And the huge drive by Oak Ridge to get to the 1 they had to overcome at least 3 holding calls. It was bad and after refs ripped off Oak Ridge last yr when they called back the game winning TD in final seconds on an awful call. That was bad but these refs dont need to not be back doing any playoff games

I would say moog and Noe from ac and Latham and Cole from West are better but that's just my opinion

Heard the zebras were from Knoxville, if so that explains the bad calls, those guys from the Knoxville league are known to be awful. These are supposed to be the best , sure missed the mark inAthens last night.

On a better thought Brandin Hayward #13 blocked the last field goal with his head. Actually the ball hit him in the helmet.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
