Just someone that remembers what years prior to his hiring were like. 93-07, Oakland had 3 Ten win seasons, McDaniel had 4 in 7 seasons.

His tenure was also in a golden age of football in this county. Nearly every program was loaded. Respectfully disagree if you want, but numbers don't lie. He got the ball rolling

Okay, I disrespectfully agree.  Numbers do not always tell the true story.  I would agree that McDaniel was a decent coach, but he did not make OHS what it has become.  One state title and one district title does not make him the foundation of where Oakland football is today.  If you want to continue to "cling" to that idea, you have the right to be wrong. Just like you were about Blackman not being able to compete in the game.

Did Blackman fight the good fight?... Yes... for 24 minutes.

However Blackman is no closer to Oakland than they have been since Creasy's arrival.

Well one gets away with a lot of recruiting compared to others schools in Rutherford. Oakland has a good team. All do it but not at Oakland rate

Unless you have something specific which I know you don't, it just comes across as being a crybaby for getting man handled twice in one season by a better team with a better coaching staff.  Blackman made a good showing but in the end Oakland did what Oakland does.  Win.

I know you’re a fan but everybody knows man. It’s all good, teams gotta get better

I think it is more a situation where the programs recruit themselves.  Oakland wins and moms and dads want their kid to play there for better exposure.  Same with Blackman.  Tygard had a 10-3 season this year.  Very good.  With a high profile and high scoring offense.  That attracts parents so that little junior can maybe get some college offers and bam!  Blackman gets better.  It will be interesting to see how Blackman builds off of this years success or will it be a step back after graduating some of those studs that were on that team this year.  Time will tell I guess.  I would assume that most transfers into Rutherford are looking at Oakland and Blackman because it seems Riverdale and Siegel are drowning in mediocrity.

In regards to your last statement about Tygard…. Spot on. However, that’s offensive to the Blackman faithful that demand Tygard get the respect he deserves… he’s not done anything yet, with a roster like this he should’ve beat Brentwood and not lost to Oakland by 40.. he has a chance to prove himself Friday night but until then he is just another coach at Blackman. Barely Beating Coffee Co. does not open anyone’s eyes. It’s just the tough reality.

SPOT on

And this was supposed to be a "rebuilding" year for Oakland. If Blackman couldn't even make it close in a year that they have a big senior class and more college recruits then Oakland, they will never close the gap as long as Creasy is there.
