Sorry WH4L,

Alcoa all day long. Too many playmakers! West has had a great little run but it ends next Friday night. The NIL is too strong. Of the starting 22 for Alcoa, how many are actually FROM Alcoa? Not trying to start anything by that question but I am curious about it. Been there and done that! Enjoyed it! For just a little ole 3A school, they got it! Congrats ahead of time!

How many Clinton guys are actually from Clinton? Seems to be the MO of most schools in today’s HS football climate.

On paper you're probably right but Bearden giving them a game gives me hope that West can hang with them and maybe pull the upset.

One thing im concerned about is who will cover their skill guys...West must control the line of scrimmage on both sides to have any chance as well as put pressure on Alcoa qbs.

Looking forward to a clean, injury free, exciting game. One things for sure- West wins this one, the rest of 5A will take notice for sure.

Should be a good one both teams lost a lot from last year's groups Alcoa not as good on the Los as they have been and doesn't have the speed in the back field. Owens, Winton, and Cannon are a handful to contain so it's not like their cupboards are bare. West good on defense but top two RB may be out and not having Bowers on defense hurts on the back end. 21-20 Alcoa missed pat finally catches up to us

Alcoa has started slow all season. They need to start fast against West to force West out of a heavy run game and controlling the clock. This is exactly what Bearden did.

Alcoa needs HAS TO use their play makers like Eli Owens, Brandon Winton and Luke Cannon in the passing game. OFTEN. Alcoa has to have a good passing game to beat West at home.

Alcoa needs to have a plan for quick screens to slow teams from blitzing every down. Especially quick dumps between the hashes.

Alcoa will use a host of RB's. #7, Cannon needs to have a big game matching West physically. Alcoa's RB #5 will be the fastest player on the field and needs to be used. Alcoa needs to establish the run game first, then the passing game. Not passing game first. That has not worked all season. Hard physical run game early will help open up the passing lanes.

Alcoa needs to use #52 early on Defense to slow the West ground game and force West to double team to slow him down. Force West to throw more than the typically do. Don't allow them to settle into a slow physical run game will be key.

Lots of talent on both sides...expect a heckuva turnout and atmosphere
