Battle of Champions - Alcoa at West

This will be a great game to see. Wish it were on TV like last years Rivalry Thursday game. Anyone know if Diamond Clear carries West High.

Played both. Alcoa more talent at Qb and athletes, West better up front. West will look to dominate the line and run. Alcoa struggles to get the ball to owens and winton but they won’t Friday.

Yes they do.  But, it's a little hard to find because West doesn't have it's own logo square on the Dashboard of schools carried.  West is also not listed under the schools drop down menu.  However, on game day it will show up on the dashboard of upcoming events.   I know that's a little hard to follow, but it will make more sense once you get on DCM site this Friday.

Alcoa isn't your typical Alcoa team this year.  Very Vulnerable and too one dimensional  on offense.  If  West line can hold their blocks and protect their QB, I think West wins plus its H/C so Let's Go Runnin Rebs haha.......

AE/West fan here   someone stated, "Alcoa has started slow all season". I agree with that statement.  Alcoa was up 7-0 over AE at the end of the 1st quarter . I believe they took them lightly but after that wake up call, they started playing football.  If West can WRAP UP and tackle and or smack Alcoa's WR's on the line, I see West winning big !  Like I've previously said, "Alcoa isn't your typical Alcoa team this year!"  

How many players are actually Alcoa players?  hahaha  , I think you can say that about any team in East Tennessee but AE.  The question is How many players on all of these East Tennessee teams are zoned for AE but didn't go to AE?  80% of the star players that's playing elsewhere are zoned for AE.  Check the stats(address)

Turtle, serious question for you.  Why is it that AE cannot keep their football players?  Is it leadership?  Community interest? or what?   If they kept all the dudes playing at other schools they would be contenders for sure.

Check Bearden, West, & Powell. Don't think Alcoa makes it way over there, but I could be wrong.

AE hasn't been good for most of the current Frosh to SRs life. Kids these days don't want to play for a team that is bad. They want to play for the good team. The smart coaches knows there is talent in the AE area so they get them to play for their youth league early and get them to transfer in by the time they are a Frosh. They also know AE has its own problems inside the schools walls. They are supposed to be getting the same edu as other knox co schools, but we all know the truth. They see an opportunity to get out and they jump to it.

spot on.  I was just trying to ask turtle basically is there any plans to do anything about it.  Maybe hire a Rosser type Coach, meaning one that could get players back and keep them there.  Or a change in the community support which is sorely lacking, make AE football a big deal again.  Just wondering if AE football will go the way of the coo coo bird.  That would be a shame because it really did used to be a big deal and a point of pride within that community.   It's a shame really to watch it flounder.  They used to play OR first at OR every year.  Those were great competitive games.  Clinkscales and them

Turtle must has been a sleep when Alcoa called the dogs off and played 2nd team, 3rd team  freshman team and cheerleaders second half and still won 42-0!
