Huntingdon is the front runner a lot mid season. Then the 2nd and 3rd rounds rolls around. If the Mustangs could get a bye them 2 rounds who knows what could happen.

A bye?  Ain't nobody getting a bye. You might get a cupcake or two.

I think if yall stay healthy and keep your helmets on, :roflol::ph34r::roflol:you could be the one.

Huntingdon got beat by 2 scores by a 1A school. They very well may be the best team but to say no one will beat them when someone already has doesn’t seem very reasonable

Your right. It doesn’t seem reasonable. However he didn’t say “nobody” would beat them. He said “nobody in 2A” would beat them. So your bringing up the loss to a 1A team is like comparing apples to oranges. Don’t twist what he said. And this is coming from a guy who despised Huntingdung. And yes I believe there are people in 2A that can beat them.

Anybody keeping an eye on Fairley.  Mitchell.  What they got?

@WildBill2388,  you know anything about these 2 ?   I know you're connected to MASE but you got anything?

Mitchell defense is good. Fairley has a bunch of athleticism and athletes that can play in space. Fairley gave Covington all they could handle . Covington had to win the game in the last seconds of the game.

They play each other at the end of the year . So I will be able to speak more on both teams.

If a 1A can beat them, so can 2A. That’s all I was saying. Don’t really know it went over everybody’s head on this thread. I’ll leave. Carry on

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
