Closer for comfort than Hendersonville would've liked I'm sure, but they got it done. We get them in Patriot Stadium again next week. Rematches against good teams always make me nervous. And Southwind vs. Beech is legitimately intriguing. Round 2 will be very interesting for Region 7.

Beech is just happy to be mentioned in the same sentence as Southwind and hope to keep it respectable.

The only problem this Beech team is not your typical 3 yards and cloud of dust. If they play like they have the last three weeks, this game will be over at half.

Southwind's QB plays well above his age, if SW defense shows up like they have all year I believe Southwind has the potential to win convincingly. Not counting out Springfield by any means, but In my opinion Southwind is the much better team in this matchup. 

My prediction was right... SW with the huge win!

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
