No doubt on his success but great coaches are judged in games where you’re not favored by 35 lol if he wins this one he’ll have nudged me a good bit. Having watched him many times like you his schemes and team discipline are terrible. There are not many public schools in any class with this much talent so just winning games is not good enough its gold ball or nothing in a perfect storm like this.

You have to give credit to Coach Brooks. They have gone on the road for 3 straight weeks against Marion County, Smith County and York. They weren’t “35 point favorites” in any of those games. All 3 were really good teams. Going into all 3 road games and taking care of business is impressive no matter who is on the field. ER was doubted in all 3 games and all 3 games were never in question outside of Marion County first half and after ER pulled starters at York. Everyone says “ER” skill guys. Yes, they are incredible at RB and the Groves boys are gonna be playing on Saturdays. What gets lost is the offensive line and defensive line. They control the LOS every game. They are the tone setters for ER. And don’t forget about Cade Brooks at WR. Kid is a walking TD when he gets the ball.

Atlee Pond had 5+ D1 kids on his roster and didn’t make it past the first round. Coach Brooks is obviously a good coach only in his second year. It’s not entirely his fault the team is undisciplined it reflects and the parents and the rest of the people who have had these kids their whole life. He also can’t help they came from a weak region this year. He might have scheduled some weak competition, but he knows that 1 injury and the season is derailed , so can you blame him? He will have the team prepared for Riverside and will shock everyone.

ER 28-14

Atley’s problem was not having a staff around him.  Successfully running a program on your own is almost impossible

Is Cade number 3?

I wouldn’t wanna work for East either lol.  Idk if you specifically have done it, but even going to state all I’ve seen the East fans on here do is bash the current coaching staff.  Cross plains wild is lol

Dont let my post sway anything or others and make a bold claim about a whole town lol. Im not an East fan just a regular robertson/sumner county sports fan who keeps up and watches alot of ball. Most CP loves the job hes doing and not even the somewhat critics like myself can argue about the results on paper so far

Again, if East doesn't have better players than everyone else they wouldn't be close. Their talent is so elite they can overcome most teams. When a player quits at half makes a facebook post about hes leaving and hes back in 2 weeks it speaks volumes! If willy ray the backup center would of have done that would Brooks have let him back on? Don't think so. Brooks isn't the HC the Groves run that roost! Brooks is just paper coach. Seen both teams play. If East plays clean they win. If they play like they have all year Riverside rolls!

I wouldn’t go that far. They was chippiness on both sides. I mean they had to remove the York cheerleaders from the sideline due to ER coaches squirtin water on them. I mean it starts at the top. The only reason I know that is because they were escorted right in front of the group of guys I was standing with and 3 were cryin and one told her parents and we overheard her.

What in the world? That's insane.

There must be only one side of bleachers on that field?

    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
