I'm not kissing up. I'm just stating my opinion just like you are stating yours. The Moore Co I watched all year would have had their hands full stopping Pitt.

SP was the only one to stop SP all game, without all the turnovers and penalties, this game would have been a rout.  Thats nothing bad about Mckenzie, they were totally out manned, it  was every thing they could do to just get a 1st down. This was not 2 evenly matched teams.

stopping yourself happens all the time, and really good teams usually dont stop themselves do they?

May hurt some McKenzie feelings with this, but oh well...

McKenzie wasn't the best 1A football team from the west talentwise. From the start of the season with a thumping of Huntingdon, to making the championship game by "upsetting the favorites", then losing to a very stout South Pittsburg team by one score, I'd say that this year's coaching job by Comer was better than winning it all last year with a team full of kids who were there the year before and picked by most to be back and win it. The old quandary applies here..."did the coach get out coached and lose, or did he do a great job to get his team there to begin with?" I'm going to say that my vote is for the latter.

Completely agree

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
