“Urban Area” huh? lol say what & who you are referring to! I don’t think a ref can dictate anything! The school does! If a school is winning & my kid can help why not go there? I will put my kid in the best position I possibly can as a parent! And look around Jackson or is it just certain areas you call an “urban area” but it’s multiple coaches or assistant coaches on the TSSAA officials payroll buddy! Be direct!
it is very possible that this can happen in high school
contracts are agreed to that could have language such as "Team A will play at Team B in 2024-2025 season ... Team B agrees to play at Team A in 2025-2026 ... failure to uphold this contract by either team will result in a payment of _______ to the injured party to cover loss of gate/concessions"
happens all the time
Hmm. . . I bet I know what “urban” area you’re referring to! Just call’em out! Lol
If I’m a parent, I’m sending my kid where they can succeed! We have several schools in the Nashville area, in basketball and football. Parents tend to send their kids where they have a better chance to grow. It’s a sacrifice for the parents, but in a lot of cases, it’s worth it. I’m not sending mine to their zoned school. No way! Lol
Also, is this assistant coach recruiting while he’s working as a ref?
