New high school being built in Lenoir City

The last I heard they were buying land on Simpson Road which is on the backside of Home Depot and beside First Baptist Church of Lenior City. As a bird flies this new school and Lenior City are just shy of being 2 miles apart.

I believe this project is 4-5 years from being done.  Right now the County is saying they need to build to alleviate over crowding in their middle and elementary schools on the north end of the county.

Would it split talent??? Well 70% of the City HS is County kids....IF the school is built.

maybe them Lenoir City Baptist focused on a mega expansion of that Academy.....on that same Baptist plan them Silverdale folks are and have been

To my knowledge it will be a county school that is close to LC, but it will be at least 5 years before being built

Inevitable that it will split up talent, whenever it does get built.

Sounds comical, but please explain. I've felt for a long time that LC/Loudon Co. had good potential for HS football. It will be interesting to see if Cummings can get it done.

Lenoir Panthers and Loudon Redskins will both get mercy ruled some more when the new school is built. The new school will take some of the players from Lenoir Panthers and Loudon Redskins. It will happen. I guarantee it. Watch and see. Does anybody want to bet me? I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.
