Pujo,

Where does the deceit come from with the CPA team of 2000? Six Div I signees, every one (not some) of them were in Kindergarten several years before there was even a football program at CPA. This year again (though not as dominant) was home grown with the exception of Eric Holt who did not get to play due to injury.

We will be gone in 2 years in all likelihood, but guess what, in all likelihood your road to the Boro will go thru Trousdale at that point. They are the ones who showed us all the level and work ethic we needed to go all the way.

Cloudland doesn't have any players that haven't been there since the 7th grade?

I remember hearing about some that had transferred from another state.

Pujo, you really offended me earlier. I would like for you to either apologize, or if you do not think you were wrong (which is fine) then please explain yourself further.

You don't trust CPA, Boyd, and private schools like that.

Do you trust Lighthouse Christian?

I bet you do...you choose to believe what you will and choose not to believe what you don't see.

I wonder if you believe Fayette Academy. They don't have too many posters on this site. Neither does USJ. But you already know all their is to know about their schools, players, and coaches. Even though no one posts too much about them.

Answer the question I just asked.

Do you trust Lighthouse Christian. If so, why so? If not, why not?

It's a lose lose situation bud.

And tell me how many players from Cloudland have been there since birth. If there is one single player that hasn't been...then we have a problem.

I don't know enough about lighthouse or Fayette academy to base an opinion. Private schools get the type of kids they are seeking. Some seek atheletes and some atheletes are seeking them. They are definately finding each other. Also if you think Division 1 atheletes are transferring to Cloudland, you are a total nut. Do you know of any division 1 atheletes who has come to any of the private schools in the 7th grade or later,I do. If the truth offends you ,I,m sorry. As for the Cloudland transfers, either new people move into the area,or we get kids who were having trouble at a nearby school. Someones elses problem. We have had a few from NC who MOVED to Roan Mt because they wanted a chance to get some playing time,a chance they thought they would never have at Avery. We have only had one guy to transfer who was a starter at Avery. Its not so hard to tell the whole truth. Try it.

Perhaps you misunderstood my post concerning coaching salaries. The amount (posted in an hourly rate) is the coaching stipend in addition to his salary which is received for his regular job (usually $600 to about $2000 depending on the sport). No coach in any of the schools I know of (public or provate 1A) gets paid just to coach, they are members of administration or faculty. The coach in question began coaching at Boyd as a fill-in until someone else could be found. After one season the Board asked him to stay on.

Sorry if that post was misleading but to call me a liar is just ignorance of the facts.

If you are relying on this (or any) messge board to get your facts about private schools you are barking up the wrong tree. My facts about public schools come from friends and experiences with them, not insults hurled from 200 miles away. Meet the families, talk to the coaches, call me whem you're down here sometime, I'll have you and your family over for dinner. You'll find that we are much more alike than we are different and we want the same things for our childeren. Contact me through this board and I'll gladly give you my home phone and work phone.

Pujo,

If Cloudland ever makes it to spring fling in Memphis...hopefully we could meet up and discuss the future of high school athletics in TN. Who knows maybe we could go to the rendevous...I would say let's go to the casino's but I am too young, and I do not want you to think that all private school supporters like eating at casino's. :)

To be honest ,I like private schools and the options it allows people. I think some take advantage of our system, some worse than others, and some not at all. I do think a split is the only answer the majority will except. If I were in a bad area my kid would definately be in a private school. They offer and expect so much more. I expect the my kid to be the best he can be at whatever he is doing. If all parents took time to do this we would have a better world. I salute all parents who want the best for their kids. The percent of these kids in public schools are much lower so we will always have apples and oranges. Its not the schools, its the parents. the public school system is messed up but with good parents, the kids will still achive, plenty of them do.

You can't get on here and label all privates or all publics by reading these posts on this site. You have no idea who is posting these things or how old they are or even if it is the truth. It is fun to get on here and post things but I wouldn't take what I read on here to the grave. I think if you were actually around many of these private schools you would find it very different than you think. People get on here and see things and read things and act like it is the gospel truth.

Dominate? I'd say South Pitt, Trousdale, Alcoa, Sweetwater, Oliver Springs, Tyner, and Kingston (who will likely drop to 2A if a split occurs) might have other ideas...

;)

If African American athletes are the end all be all of high school football...and a split does occur. Then West TN football, especially at the 1A and 2A level (since their will be 4 classifications) will dominate.

$76K???? I think I picked the wrong career!

I don't know anything about private schools except all the reading I've done on here. I have come to realize that most of the people on here (not all) who support these schools try to conceal the truth, tell half truths, and in my opinion thats like telling a half lie. A half lie is just as bad as a full one. For example, this is one of the favorite ones, alot of the kids have been here since the early grades, when in reality the better atheletes came alot later. Here is another one that I got a kick out of. I asked how much some of the coaches at the better private made. This is the responce I got. Divison 1 private coaches gets 2.64 an hour.I checked the school or coach in question and the salary came to 76.000 a year. I have learned in my lifetime that if someone will lie ,they will cheat, just plain dishonest. Dodging the truth and only telling half the story is not a very good way of gaining trust. If I were the only one with this distrust, it would'nt be any bid deal. But thats not the case. ;)

    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
