Fayetteville hosts marion county

tough matchup but it was last year too and we played marion very close. we’ve seen 3 good teams and so far so i hope that’ll help out in this game

I've been to several games on Tiger Hill.  Fayetteville has never lost when I was in attendance.  I won't be there, and most likely it wouldn't matter anyways.

First big test for Marion.  That could possibly be a big thing as fc has played 2 teams possibly as good as Marion, and while Marion has played bigger schools, they haven't been very good.  Marion is better than last year, qb seems more seasoned, dynamic playmaker on the outside.  Bruiser running backs.  Hoping for a good game.

I think Marion wins this one by 21. Be nice to see them play a good or at least an average team. Central was awful and was pushing them around before #7 got hurt. Actually thought they out hit Marion in 1st half but Marion and tons of speed and don’t see many teams slowing them down

Marion by as many as they want. City really struggles to move the ball. I don’t think the O-line is good enough to allow them to open up the playbook much. defense lacks big time playmakers and they make a lot of mistakes leaving guys 10-15 yards open.

South Pitt guys: Marion by 4 scores. They are unstoppable. So much talent. On to Chattanooga.

Also South Pitt guys: South Pitt has their work cut out for them this week against Copper Basin. Really have to play mistake free ball to have a chance. This team is young. Have a lot to overcome. Big underdogs every week.

I'd have to disagree on pushing them around. Their 1st series they came out in something totally different according to their coach to try to gain an advantage. Warriors adjusted to it and pretty much played well the rest of the night. Busted coverage got Central inside the 5 late in the 1st half but Warriors defense held. #7 going down definitely hurt them but he wouldn't have changed the game. They may have scored but Warriors clearly the better team. If #7 was playing for Marion they would cakewalk to Chatt.

I don’t think any of us said SP would struggle with Copper Basin. This week is another story though.  Regardless this Jasper team is really good and a veteran team. I would agree Jasper won’t have much trouble this week either.

This will be a better test of Marion's D, which hasn't given up a singe point in 3 games. Blank Fayetteville and you will have my attention and the REAL Gold Ball talk can begin.
