South Pitt guys: Marion by 4 scores. They are unstoppable. So much talent. On to Chattanooga.

Also South Pitt guys: South Pitt has their work cut out for them this week against Copper Basin. Really have to play mistake free ball to have a chance. This team is young. Have a lot to overcome. Big underdogs every week.

Exactly. Take anything you read with a grain of salt that isnt @CoyDillard, @TheTruthPrevails, @Classicwarrior83, and myself. Or poster from a team that played Marion County. Would the majority of Marion fans tell you it's gold ball or bust? I believe so. Personally I think MC has missed twice in the last 4 years.

We have a solid team again this year, was able to add a couple of players to the mix. Is that what we needed to put us over the top? Not so sure. I like our HBC, but I've still got some doubts when it comes playoff time if I'm being honest.

Based on our first two games I think this one could be close. I've got Marion by winning by two scores. I believe the Warriors score late in the 4th to seal it.

Most of what I was saying about gold ball or bust was just good ole teasing. I am surprised tho on how many folks are picking MC by 21+

No worries. I was just trying to make it clear for those who might not know who are actual Marion County posters. There are only a few of us and stay to ourselves for the most part. I've been doing a lot of traveling for work and this will be the  first game of the season I'm able to make it to. Thanks to whoever started the thread.

I would be shocked if this one is a blowout. Like coy said, the rain will be a definite disadvantage for the Warriors.

our middle school has moved their home game to wednesday so this might get pushed to thursday. just a heads up to marion county people or anyone attending

Is city better than last year?  How many returners did they have?  I know the qb is a stud and they always seem to have some athletes.

Here is one that has absolutely no business talking about a powder puff.  Our schedule isn't great, but we have never scheduled a home school team.

Old Pirate says scheduling is often a mixed bag with occasional powder puff match ups. Fact of the matter that became too much of  the norm with scheduling Jailhouse High. As fer scheduling, OP ain’t atall sure, but on a normal 10 game season, the Pirates generally play higher classification teams. OP says there is a HEEP of a difference in a skirmish and a battle. Skillet heads knowds the difference between a mad skillet slinger and aa angry skillet slinger with arm cocked with a frying pan. One is a skirmish & the other requires a fox hole. Weak scheduling skirmishes does little to prepare for getting hit in the mouth type battles. Occasionally the need to fill an open spot with team of warm bodies to build depth. TTP, you kinfolke fellers can easily relate to that. The Captain mercy ruled the warriors fer years, leading to schedule upgrade in completion! LOPAO

    • Take your own advice Mr. Bill.  Memphis should stay out of the national news if it doesn't want people knowing about their "business."  SP's classes of '25, 26 and 27 contributed as well.  At the beginning of the season, we weren't sure if SP could make it out of the 2nd or 1st round in 2024 due to only 2 or 3 seniors only 1 of which played much.  We were extremely proud of that 2024 team for what they accomplished between game 1 and game 15.
