Add Community HS, also David Marston has resigned at Lawrence County after 22 years.

What is that situation looking like there? He was there for a very long time and had mixed results at best. Had to have been a stand up guy to be there that long. Do they just mostly care about basketball? Hire from within for same results?

I don't live in Lawrence County, not familiar with the situation there.  I'm hearing the region that there in Region 5-5A, is going to be a lot tougher the next few years, with possible Page, Nolensville, and possibly Centennial added. So that might have factored in.  Lawrence County has always been good in other sports, basketball, and baseball, never understood why they couldn't be more successful in football. Loretto and Summertown always have  good football teams.

From my point of view, I feel like LC knows who they are. When they had talent to compete in 5A, they were pretty decent but most years they don't and I doubt Marston would have made it this long at LC if they felt differently.

Loretto and Summertown's history not much different and it's definitely alot easier to win in 2A than 5A. Same also applies to other sports

Add JPII.  A parent I know from that school says they are interested in Gallatin’s coach. I know nothing about him except that went 3-7 this year.

JP2 must make a serious decision; are they willing to do what it takes to win in D2?  When the school first opened, they were going after athletes in all sports, and they were competitive.  Over the last decade or even more they have been horrible in athletics other than the occasional good team.  IMO, both JP2 and Father Ryan must differentiate themselves from all the other D2 schools by placing a priest back in charge of the schools.  The Catholic schools will never have the funds like the top prep schools, so they need to find their lane and stay in it.  You can never be everything to everyone so stop trying.  Know who you are and be the very best version of yourself.

    • Yeah, I don’t see that AC situation ending well. Let’s be real, AC is a super redneck school, always has been. Before it’s all said and done, there will be drama. As I’ve said before, people will sell their souls to win football games. It’s crazy.
    • Booger thinkin that it probably not unreal istical to be thinkin the TFP could be ones source..... Booger just sayin
    • Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.
    • I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
    • What I meant to say is, "They don't have to use MONEY or other things to get players to their program!"  Aren't very good?  1 State Title in School history speaks a lot , go figure!
