Macon County vs Melrose- 4A State Championship

Macon County makes their first ever appearance in the state championship and takes on Melrose.

Who takes this one and why??

True but I highly doubt they have any better speed than the 2 Borders kids

Anderson Co. was the best team MCHS has played all year long. Gabe was the fastest player on the field last night.

Maybe you are not familiar with Melrose, just look for the gold cleats...lol

Aside from that, the Border twins are legit, have watched MC's last couple games and am glad I get to see the twins play one more time...

Melrose will have better overall team speed which makes it tough to pick a winner for me, they are generally very good against running offenses...

I find it very hard believe they have any kid on their that’s faster than the twins from MC

Well…..believe it or not they will have way more speed, their team is full of speed. Morrow their Mizzou commit is quicker, faster, shiftier and ranked as like the 5th best player in TN this cycle, 163rd in the nation. They better not kick it to him, just go watch him torch Craigmont on a kick return on Maximus Prepatius website.

I thought LaRue was...but Macon has 2 fast kids, AC had 1. I say Macon by 8 over Melrose

I am not hating on the Border twins, but Melrose always has guys with elite speed, and when they are good, it is even scarier, maybe there is some film out there somewhere...

I know they said LaRue ran like a 4.4/40 but by watching on film it looked like Gabe Borders was a little faster to me, not just more shifty, but straight line speed on his break out runs as well, with that said, I have no idea what G.Borders 40 time is...
