Long time from now, but what teams will be bringing back the most talent in 1A & 2A?

Just based off of what I know I’d have to throw in:

1A - South Pitt and McKenzie

2A - East Nashville, Milan, and MASE

Any dark horses?

South Pitt has to be the favorite next season with what they have returning.  I think the west is wide open next year.

I would say right now those three would be the favorites.

Eagleville has a lot coming back including a Freshman QB who got good playing time this season, as well as several good running backs and wide receivers that impacted games this season...the O line should be ok as well... ...they should make a nice run at the region title and my guess is at least 2nd or 3rd round game next season in playoffs. but i think they will be too young to make a real run past those rounds.

Coalfield High School will compete for a championship next year.

I make a premature prediction of Rockwood, Coalfield, OZ as 1-2-3 with Harriman battling it out with Greenback for 4th in that region.

If TSSAA passes a new transfer rule, all bets are off. Many of the smaller schools have benefited from TSSAA's selective enforcement policy. If all schools can utilize transfers equally we may see more parity. Much like Alabama and other  teams have lost some status since everybody can pay players now in NCAA.

Rich will get richer.  It won't be like college I dint believe

    • Oh I know about Gibson Co and have seen them play Westview MANY times over the past 20+ years. However, after they lost Hart and Turner last year, I said they would struggle this year with not having a dominant player that could take over a game like years past and had posters on here comment saying they would be good. What I saw tonight is what I expected. They didn’t have a leader that stepped up and handled the ball and took over and ran their offense.    With the dominant win over Dyersburg last week and then Gibson Co this week, I think Westview has proved they are the top team in this area no doubt
    • I would say Westview is very fortunate to get the Gray kid from South Fulton.. I think they’re a different team without her there. She’s a good player.
    • I’ve watched a lot of west tn girls ball.. and I’ll say this.. Westview dominated tonight. But, the overall season for Gibson has been good. They lost a miss basketball, mvp, highest point scorer in the history of the program in Micah hart, and a really good defender in Miyah Turner.. those aren’t excuses. But maybe Gibson County hasn’t found their new identity without them. I’ll say overall history would say to not let one game base your decision. That program has a rich tradition. Maybe they regroup and find some solutions for the defense and lack of offense at times… still think you can count them in as the other team to get to state from this region and sub state, unless there’s a team I don’t know about.
    • Westview is best team in 2A ball.
    • I believe Sims, Gray, and Brent were the three in double digits and then several others had 3-6 each. Gibson County couldn’t stop Westview from hitting the three and when they tried, they drove right by them. I can’t tell you how many wide open layups Westview got. Gibson County got frustrated with Westview’s defense and had several turnovers. This is my first time seeing them this season and I’m interested in hearing if it was just a fluke because I wasn’t impressed at all. They don’t have a bench it doesn’t seem and outside of Rivers and Riding don’t have any athletes
