OldSkoolBalla
Eddie George I disagree...Eddie George stinks! On another note--Rob Allen of Ooltewah has what it takes to make it in college. He's only a sophomore and wont get much time between Harris and Williams, but in two years, look for him to set all of the single season records! nader64
The running backs in TN are not very incredible. I have seen the best running backs in the state play. I saw Levonte Barber play and he is pretty good. he is powerful and has the speed to break it. Cleveland's offensive line is not very good and he makes them look pretty good. Once he breaks that initial surge and gets into the linebacking corps he is deadly dangerous. I saw Centrals Cassel Jackson play as well. I saw him play McCallie and he was very inaffective. He had talent but the McCallie defense showed what a good defense can do to a player liek that. He had about 55 yards rushing and wasn't very good at all. At this game I also saw McCallie's Chris Johnson and this guy can play. He is a tough runner who is not terribly fast. He is about 220 pounds and is also a dominating linebacker. His speed and power combination make him the best work horse running back in the state. But Levonte is probably the best with those tree trunk legs of his that have that kind of speed. Chris Johnson in a second.

1footballfan
And one little thing, Cassen Jackson from Knox Central had 55 yards against McCallie, so maybe competition level helped him in the first 3 games stack up all those yards. I don't think so. If you think that Greeneville, William Blount, and Knoxville West are not good competition, then you are sadly mistaken. I guarantee that all three of them will make the playoffs. The difference was McCallie's D-line dominated Central's O-line. They did not have a good game.
cruzey
Scooter Houston from Jefferson County is the best running back in the state he averages 4 td's a game and 170 yards a game. He doesnt have that much size at 5'9 170 pds. but he is argueably the fastest guy in the state runnin a 4.2 40. So he doesnt use his size he just runs around you. Thats why he is the best runnin back in the state. So that means that no one can catch him. Edited September 17, 2003 by cruzey
