True old school is to cut the stirup and ad elastic to the bottom so you can pull them up really high so all you see is thestrip on the sides and you have to wear white sanitary socks underneath.

You must have never got to wear them there jpigg. I've never heard of high side in the front. All I have heard and wore myself is high side in the back!!

Actually, I wear them every game. And I have no idea what this guy is talking about.

Big leaguers wear the high side in the back. That's the only way i've ever known them to be worn.

I wander why JPIGGY even took the time to post on this "useless" subject. Surely he can find something of interest on here. I looked at some old time pics... high in front.

I personally have seen them warn both ways and it looks better to have the high side in the back, adds more color to the uniform w/ low side in the front. The high side was made so that the heal of the cleat would cover the same about of white sock as the front did so it would look even. so that's why there are 2 different heights on stirrups. Stirrups w/ the stripes in them are the best, no point in having them if they are plain, just wear solid socks then.
