D2FANN
Last year's MBA - BA regular season game was the saddest game for both teams. It gave BA an undeserved win thanks to the refs who were not looking at the clock when it ran out (What a horriable way to win a game) and it kicked MBA out of the USA today top 10. However, it was sweeeeeeeeet to kill them 38-14 in the Clinic Bowl with the BA fan's hanging a "EXCUSES, EXCUSES" sign for everyone to see. It was funny to see one of the MBA dads to sneak over to the BA sideline after we spanked them 38-14 and steal their sign. It hangs in our "hall of champions" display right above our 2003 Clinic Bowl trophy today.

IheartWurdUp!!
Last year same two teams same result both times. Sycamore/Greenbrier regular season and second round of the playoffs. Sycamore lost the regular season match up by 1 YARD! In the second round of the playoffs it went into double overtime and sycamore had to score to win. They were stopped on the TWO YARD LINE. Another heartbreaker that sycamore was in last year was the first round playoff game against Jackson Southside. Sycamore was down to heavily favored Southside, but made a miraculous comeback to win it in the fourth quater in jackson. Edited August 20, 2004 by IheartWurdUp!! oldsc7
Here's one for you state playoffs, both teams hate each other, and both finished one and two respectfully in a ten team region with the likes of Trousdale Co. and Portland. Macon Co. vs Smith Co in quarterfinals, Macon is the one seed and Smith is the two. Smith Co leads with a minute or so left in the game elects to punt on fourth and six inches and has a 2000 yard rusher in the backfield. So we punt our punter all night has been booming kicks he hits a 25 yard punt. So we are up on them with a score of 9-7 they drive and get in field goal range and their kicker connects on a 51-yard field goal to win the game and leaving only a few seconds on the clock what a terrible way to lose to an arch rival. GWAVE1
92' 3A state game Clinton vs. Gallitan , CHS should of won , but they were just wore out , cause alot of them played both ways unlike Gallitan 825307016[/snapback] Now just how should they have won? Gallatin dominated Scotty Witt and company. Germantown 83' beat the living stew out of Gallatin at home 31-3. Gallatin was undefeated and ranked #1 in the state. 86' Mt Juliet kicks a last second field goal to beat Gallatin from 45 yards out. Jefferson County 87' in the Clinic Bowl. They were down in the 4th quarter but Gallatin let them come back and win. Jefferson County ended up 4th in the nation according to Scholastic Sports America. Hendersonville beats Gallatin in 98'. Dumb call to take a safety then kick with way too much time on the clock for Hendersonville to tie the game and eventually win in OT. But the biggest had to be the TSSAA stopping Gallatin from attaining a deserved region title and state playoff appearance last year. Gallatin scored more points in the regular season last year then any other Gallatin team in history. I would have loved the chance to see what kind of damage we could have done. bhsOL
sadler57, I remember that BHS/CHS game because I was a senior on Blackman's team that year. Yall played one heck of a game. The guy that scored that TD on 4th down is now playing at MTSU. He was a junior then. Biggest heartbreaker: In the quarterfinals of the playoffs in 2002, Blackman led Riverdale 13-10 with about 3-4 minutes left. We dad stopped the Warrior offense all night long and then Derente Frazier for RHS ran 60 something yards for the TD and the win, 17-13. second biggest: In the second round of the playoffs in 2001, Blackman led Riverdale in the Second quarter 16-0. RHS made it 16-6 at halftime and 16-13 going into the fourth. RHS came back from down 16-0 and won 27-16. They went on to win state, but Blackman was the only team all season to be leading against RHS at halftime. Third Biggest: When I was at Riverdale in 1999, DC came to Murfreesboro for the first round of the playoffs and beat us in OT. We were 10-0 going into the game. This game was one of the biggest upsets in Riverdale history, next to the 1998 OHS/RHS game in 1998.
cdragonz123
3 years ago Clinton at Central the game was tied and Central threw an 80 yard half back pass w/ time running out to score the final winning TD. and 2 years ago Oak Ridge at Clinton, Clinton fought back to w/in 6 points and got down to about the 1 yard line w/ about 6 sec. left on the clock when then Clinton head coach Kevin Catlett had some great idea to try to throw a pass when they had been getting 3 and 4 yard a carry up the middle every time. And the pass was intercepted in the end zone and OR ran out the last couple sec.
