Jeez, I can't believe no one has said Union City-Memphis Hillcrest ;) .... I'm liking Covington-Haywood or Milan-Henry County ..... Will be good to see if Covington is ready for another state final run, especially after a near-miss vs. G-town last week, and to see if an improved Haywood team is ready to bounce back from last year's 4-7. ..... For Henry County, instant respect came to the struggling program in the name of Joe Gaddis, the new head coach. And, of course, Milan is Milan. ..... But, still: UC-MH. What more could you ask for?!?!?

I am partial to the annual M&M Bowl in Munford this week. Millington Vs Munford. This is a huge rivalry and always alot of fun. Millington has lots of offensive firepower this year and look to win on the road in this series for the first time in a good while. I think that you have to look real hard to find a better RB combination in the state than Millington. Barnes, West, and Askew combined for over 3000 yards and 30 Td's last year and look to even improve on that this year.

    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
    • Heard Seq has gotten a lot stronger this off season. Can’t wait to see how the boys do this year
