Sequatchie
It isn't really their call. I can see their point about travel though. 825388307 Well I thought the same thing?
1AMAN
They can't put 9 teams in one region and only 6 in another.. that is a JOKE. 825387887 It's been done before. Look at 1A regions 6 & 7.
sleep23
...Smith Co. should have an easy time in region 4-2A.
cowboys
Coacht and ELA, Could you all take a look at 3A specifically middle Tennessee and see what you all think the regions will be. There are a total of 16 possible teams. Does rivalry play into this at all?
Guest Oakland
what is everybody's opinion of where the tssaa will put columbia? also does anybody see any changes other than columbia to any 5a regions?
Pauladcc
LOL, serves Goodpasture right, since they did not move up to Region 3. They still have to play with mostly private schools
cav43
Columbia should be put in a region with, lincoln county, coffee county, franklin county, and warren county. region 3-5a is easily the most spread out it stinks for Cookeville and Cumberland county. something needs to be done. any suggestion. Cookeville used to be in the region with the boro teams but now with blackman and siegel it doesnt work either.
Pauladcc
...Smith Co. should have an easy time in region 4-2A. 825389162 Don't laugh too quick Smith Co. There is quite a bit of competition. One team particular with new coaches and loads of talent.
cav43
Seems like by changing regions you lose a lot of rivalries. seems like columbia should join 3-5a and cookeville and cumberland county move in with wilson central and lebanon and maybe a gallatin, but that messes up a lot. Has smith county always been 2a??

Longestyard
The TSSAA isn't going to split the private schools in Nasville into two regions. Two reasons; The private schools want to play each other because of gates and proximity, and the TSSAA will not split Nashville down the middle since these teams are all no more than 30 minutes apart. The TSSAA bases regions on geography, not number per region.
Gerry Bertier
Yeah I love the way the TSSAA does it. Let the private schools get to dominate one region and then don't let them have to deal with long travel times. The T$$AA needs to make the regions fair, try to keep the number of teams in a region relatively close. Why should the private schools get a say in what they do? There is a way to make the region geographically correct, but does that make them fair? No, not at all. My plan would allow the public schools to be more competitive with the privates and make the privates have to deal with the long travel times other schools deal with.
