region 4 just hasnt been stronger than region just this year, they have been the stronger of the 2 region for the last several years. i dont doubt cookeville could have been a good team in region 4, region 4 was down this year so i think cookeville could have finished 2 next year, but region 4 will be extremely loaded next year, so i dont think they would be able to compete with region next year

It awful to get on here and see 5 pages about lebanon and cookeville, where 3 pages worth are about a potential blowout, 1 about realignment, and 1 about people in the boro upset with each other.

Cookeville has a very good chance to beat lebanon. Yes they lost early in the year, barely, and both teams have drastically improved. This game i think is too close to call a spread. Lebanon stomped coffee county but that doesnt mean cookeville has no chance, each week is different. Plus i think Cookeville at home will make it a help.

As for my old friend disgusted fan, i saw a post a few pages back that upset me slightly. Don't say the play calling was bad, if you were such a true fan you wouldnt second guess Joslin. He puts in countless hours watching film and gameplaning, he knows wilson central alot better than you do and he knows his own team. I am sure he will mix it up for lebanon. Have Faith. its fine to feel that way its your right as a fan but to come and post it on here is your choice as a crappy fan. Don't make cookeville look bad, it is a wonderful environment for high school football, and coach j creates a great place for students to play and watch. If you dont like it go watch monterey, upperman, linvingston or some other school.

I was talking about that he always finds some call controversial every single game and goes off on the refs. if he loses, he always calls the refs cheaters and the other coach classless. at least that is what he did when we beat them.

Who do you think you are coming on here and bashing Coach Joslin?!? Apparently you havent been around long enough because he is the 1st to take the blame if something goes wrong. In my 5 plus years of knowing him..i have NEVER heard him blame the refs or call another coach Classless..so get ur facts straight bud.

I know a whole community of people who support that guy every step of the way..so when you talk about him..you talk about us and we take it personally so i would watch what you say about him.

Glad to see you take up for your coach, but POSSE is right......ask any ref or OHS coach and they will tell you how he acted in the playoff game b/t OHS and CHS that year. He went overboard. sorry but true. He is not well thought of by our fans that attended that game. I always liked him though from his days of glory at Gallatin where he got a RAW deal.

go ask joslin about what he said the last time oakland faced cookeville. he called out euverard and straight accused him of running it up and called euverard classless, doesnt sound like blaming himself for a loss to me

the game will be at cookeville high at 7 on friday.

JJ did score 4 TDs onturf but it took the line some time to get going. i think grass is better for this team.

in my experiences with playing at cookeville...it seems like their grass is substantially longer than any other field we played on. probably because they were always bigger, slower, and more aggressive then most other teams and they wanted to slow us down to their level. dont know if thats the case this year but i dont like that place. ive expressed alot of distaste but not hate for cookeville only because they used to whip us around and i dont know why. i will be at this one even though its not home for us. how good are their DB's this year b/c i remember from about 2000-2003 they were the worst we played...if nothing has chnaged sallis and williams should light it up. i still think it will be a wider gap this week with lebanon winning.

The amusing thing is that Shaggy was the only guy on here consistently from last season to this one. He has valiantly  fought for these guys thru all kinds of assaults on these boards. He has stuck with them every single game. The others are BANDWAGON......yes, Shaggs that WAS a compliment from ME!

hey you are forgetting about me...im just not as close to know as many details but if i was i would always back up the devils. i even backed up my 4-6 non playoff teams...haha

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
