Maryville vs Melrose

Thats kinda hard to believe from a man with a good bible quote on his signature.  Hypocrite possibly??  Anyway we arent saying the team is classless, but from what I've read the Melrose fans can be pretty unruly and disrespectful.  Lets hope we dont see that this Saturday.

Melrose has played vs. mediocre and talented defensive lines, alike.  Melrose's OL does hold its own but, to be honest, Cooper gets a lot of his yardage on his OWN!

 

Cooper is very fast and shifty (like QB Madison), which makes it difficult to get a good hold on him--difficult to "wrap up."  He has good field vision and changes directions on a dime.  Thus, even when a defender get a bead on him, he often squirts away.

He's gonna lock this thing up again. I'm not sure what's left to say about the game. We all know what the Rebels will bring and I'm anxious to see how Melrose adapts to attack it. One thing I'm sure of is that there is no defense that can truly shut down the Rebel offense. It's just too muli-faceted. Choose your poison.

 

Has MHS seen a passing attack as potent as Melrose's this year? And what about that running quarterback...still haven't heard any Rebel fans thoughts on him.

a running quarterback scares me. cody watts about brought us the end of our season with that freakin quarterback draw. i dont think we will let that hurt us again though, especailly not in the state game. we will be prepared for everything

I agree...The running quarterback is Maryville's achilles heal. If Maryville loses this will be the reason why. So can any Melrose fans give us some info on this guy?
