BatmanDB
It was the SH 9th grade only and they kept us in the game with a bunch of turnovers in the first half.We will do some things different the next time but who is to say we won't have a bunch of turnovers.I don't know if we will have our fastest player back by then either. How he never gets much time to practice with the 9th has been a cluster for the kid and the team.Sorry for the Hijack SH and MW.I try to atleast put something about the fine SH 9th grade bunch.I don't know much about West except they did beat the team I played for. That probably was stacking the box and double - daring Greeneville to throw.Seen the Devils and DB scrimmage, they were still trying to find the air power. Yep,I wrote it .I've always had the players backs first and the coaches I've defended like the last fighter in the Alamo { many, many many times.}.That said,I'll call it the way I see it even with everyone knowing who I am.I like the 9th grade coaches and think they are preparing these guys well.I might not be right all the time but I'm not a yes man either when I see something that could be better. DBIndianKMA
I was told by one of their coaches there were a few 10th graders playing for sh. Sh has some good players but it was on no way a nail biter. Db has improved since that game. Don't know what the rest of that stuff was. BatmanDB
Maybe a SH parent can set it straight. There were a bunch of 9th graders that played for SH in the JV game, but it was supposed to be our 9th against theirs.
TopperFootball
Even if there were a couple 10th graders, what does it matter? It's just preparing DB kids for physical games and making them better. Heck, when I played at SH, our 9th grade team scrimmaged plenty of JV teams. It hurt, but at the end of the day, it made us better and more physical. I do find it hard to believe they put 10th graders in though, I've never seen that at SH. They usually play it fair. But who knows, maybe the "winning" mindset has taken over in all aspects.
BatmanDB
That's what I was trying to say.If your going to play a 9th grade game and then a Jv, it makes no sense to play kids down unless they are 10th graders that "wouldn't " see the field in the jv game. However,I doubt winning a 9th grade game would mean enough to risk the embarrassment of getting busted when DB isn't using 10th graders. The coaches would talk it over before hand, I 'd think.Maybe that was the case , but I seriously doubt SH put a star 10th grader in the game. In most cases it's usually just the kids who can't even get in a varsity game when their killing someone.

(Well, technically, he spends a lot of time actually on the field, not the sidelines.) Go Stacy Go!
dbFAN91
Giving up 27 to Davy Crockett doesn't bode well against a team that beat Greenville. Coming to scout tonight for my Indians. How about that game last night? Wow!!! Didn't Sevier County drill you guys last year 63-20? Oh, and they're a lot better this year. I guess what I'm saying is Roll Tribe!!! Good luck to both sides. Still hoping were 9-0 going into that last game.
WaCoJaCo
27 - 0 Science Hill in the second quarter. Mo.West must be shell shocked. Obviously Davey Crockett is a better team than West.
