I now am more understanding why Maryville turned down the opportunity to participate in this documentary. Perception and opening yourself up for the "hit squad" isn't a desired position. Being as obscure as possible and doing your best to do the right thing is difficult enough in today's society.

If schools are installing turf fields for their football stadiums and indoor batting cages for their baseball/softball season to use during the winter months, then I am positive they can afford a shot clock. Who will operate the shot clock, I would assume an official that calls the JV game will stay and operate a shot clock. From what I've heard, basketball officials are as "short" when it comes to officiating compared to other sports throughout the state. It's a doable thing, I think we're overreacting with the amount of questions and stuff. If a H.S. runs a regular offseason, it shouldn't take over 35 seconds. That's just me. But I never kept track of that even though I might do that this upcoming season. I'll never forget when Greenfield stalled the game last year in the region tournament because Darby was in foul trouble. No one paid $5-8 dollars of admission to watch a team hold a ball for a minute. I'm glad we're at this point.

Last night, a West Tennessee poster said his Alcoa and Maryville friends talk about my real mental health issues and false use of screen names. One, yes I do have issues but don't care what people say. Two, I do not use multiple screen names. Period. I love my screen name. Period. If Alcoa and Maryville fans have a problem with me, just let me know. Cool.

Sad news Wildcat fans. According to word on another thread, LOD has passed. He was a loyal Riverdale supporter and walked the walk and talked the talk about everything including High school football to LOVE of Country. Things I will remember about LOD are his friendship with Papa Bounder and his enjoyment of ribs. Finally, I will cherish the positive way he cheered for his team. God bless his family and friends.

Will Alcoa change their terminology? I'm making a spreadsheet. If I could get ahold of the raw video... Well, gosh, this is... this is great stuff-- Every quarter broken down, how many times they run each play. I mean-- We'll be very tough defensively with this.

Nothing wrong and I agree. But you got to have your basketball program installed with camps, play days, strength and conditioning programs and drills throughout the year to keep crisp and to better your program. There are breaks here and there. Gibson County lost 7 players in 2019 and 6 in 2020 90% of them starters and role players and beat South Gibson, who lost 0 players the year before by almost 40 and a running clock. All about the program and the culture. I had 1 in my family I trained 24/7 1) because we wanted to win a Gold Ball and 2) because she wasn’t blessed with great speed and she led the state in 3’s in Single A and Double A in 2020 and is number 6 all time in the TSSAA record books for most single season three’s with 123. I spent thousands of dollars sending her to Jeremy Vonner at Solus in Jackson and other trainers and place was full of girls from all over mainly USJ and TCA girls, who played for a title and won a title. Parents know their kids weaknesses and instead of griping about their kid not playing get in the gym and practice and work on your weaknesses on your own and give the coach reasons to keep your kid on the floor. If your kid is playing ball and your not committed to giving it your all your wasting time, IMO.

After playing Meigs 2 years in a row I feel I could have some real input, Meigs has a coaching staff that is second to none this year l, the line will be very well coached and play disciplined football . The QB will be a year older and has great pocket awareness, he has a great since of when to tuck and and scoot ! This team will have solid recievers that have the athletism to go up and win 50/50 balls. I know Yeti has said there are some questions about who will tote the rock but with the athletes that take the field I don’t think they will lack in this area ! Everyone remember in small ball coaching is a big part of it IMO more so than 4 A and up with the huge staffs and kids galore in the halls ! I personally think we will see anotherMeigs team in the Gold ball game! GL Meigs.

I'll second that. Jeff did a remarkable job with the defense down the stretch into the playoff run. He didn't have any D-1s but got the most out of the players on the field and adjusted to some injuries as well. Its not easy to shut out teams like South Doyle and Rhea County in the playoffs.
