With the principal that is running the show there; it is a death-trap for football coaches. He is like panty hose --NO VISIBLE SUPPORT!

I was shocked to hear this. What Dewayne Alexander has done in just 2 seasons at WCHS is nothing short of awesome. You certainly cant blame him for resigning due to the lack of time he gets to spend with his family. I wish Coach Alexander the best in whatever he does

Coach A is a great coach and an even better person. I hear the principle was totaly unsupportive and that had a TON to do with it. Wilson county lost a good football coach and an even better person!!.

What is the short list of guys availiable at this time in the year? Assistant coaches from anywhere they may want to bolt? This could be a good program with work.

That hurts. Coach Alexander has been quoted saying he has no interest in a head coaching job at this time, however, he would not mind applying for an assistant job in the Sumner County area (like Gallatin HS, etc). What a great assistant to have on any coaching staff.

 

I think he left for more reasons then his family however. Either way, they should have a new coach around the 2nd or 3rd week of May and Coach Crane has been named interim until then.

It is actually going to be the FOURTH coach for Wilson Central since opening in the fall of 2002. Moose, Hannah, Alexander, next sucker. Four coaches in five years. I don't even have to say anything to make Wilson County schools look any worse (although it would be easy to do).
