DrawingDead
The rematch of Loudon vs. Alcoa is set up again, and both teams are playing strong into the playoffs. Alcoa, of course, is an impressive team with tons of depth and talent, who've mopped the field with pretty much everyone this season. Loudon has been somewhat unexpectedly strong all year, with the lone blemish on the record coming from Alcoa in week 4. Despite some early struggles and turnovers against Alcoa, Loudon stuck in there, and played solid the rest of the way against the Tornados. I think anyone in East Tennessee that wants to see a great high school football game next Friday should head over to Alcoa. I may be wrong, and Alcoa may blow out the Redskins, but I think it's going to be a dandy of a game. Loudon's defense won't give up 91 (or 49) to Alcoa. There's going to be some tough defense both ways, but both offenses are going to make plays. I see a game somewhere in the 21-14 range. It's a coin toss IMHO which way it goes. Granted, I'm pulling for the fellas from Loudon, but I'm smelling upset. Go REDSKINS! Beat Alcoa!
TNTechEagle
I agree---these two teams could be the best 2A teams in the state. Loudon could finish 11-2 with a loss in the QUARTERs and still be 2nd best because Alcoa is just that darned good!!

Lions4ever
Ever heard of teams like Huntingdon, Milan, Goodpasture and Camden?...they might have a little something to say about who the best 2 teams in 2a are.

Alcoa is known throughout the state but Loudon doesn't have the program of a Milan or Huntingdon. That isn't to say they won't beat Alcoa. Alcoa already got you 28-0 so I would think there is quite a bit of distance between your programs. Good Luck next week from West Tn. I promise you all of West TN will be pulling for Loudon. free4only1
i hope loudon pulls the upset, but it will be tough, my question however is why is loudon not ranked as one of the top teams around here, i was watching the channel 8 news to see the reviews of games and loudon was not in their top 8 teams, why is that. Future Mustang Dad
Ever heard of teams like Huntingdon, Milan, Goodpasture and Camden?...they might have a little something to say about who the best 2 teams in 2a are. Shhh Lion, we would rather keep a low profile! lol Alcoa knows what west TN football is about and congrads to Camden. Louden I'm sure has great Football team but not in the same category as Huntingdon, Milan and Alcoa. Camden is in the early stages of building a fine tradition also. Goodluck to all the teams and GO Mustangs!!

Because regardless of Loudon's record and how good they are (and they are good), they arent capable of hanging with the likes of Oak Ridge, Maryville, Alcoa, Farragut, Central, Powell, Fulton, Catholic, Webb, and Austin-East. Our "area" encompasses some of the best teams in the state. Those are some of the teams that would regularly be in the PrepXtra top 8.

I'll have to agree with you on that one wingman! Many people are still bent out of shape over that mess!
