HLfan68
i said sycamore was the 4th best team out of an 8 team district. man im talking them up so much. and lets look at their 4 district games against creekwood and harpeth(preseason and still favorites to win the district) @harpeth 8-0, knight has a no hitter and 16k's @creek wood 4-3, sycamore gets down has the tying run on second in the bottom of the 7th but doesnt convert creek wood 9-8, played like crap but had a huge rally in the last inning and lost by 1 for the second night in a row harpeth 7-2, worst game of the year, didnt hit or field, or catch a single break so yeah sycamore could very very easily be 3-1 in the district with a sweep of creek wood. to bad fairview, stewart, waverly, and cheatham r all a joke this year...for instance fairviews only common opponent with sycamore is lewis county. sycamore ended that game quickly and was never challenged 11-0 fairview barely won 8-6 not to mention fairview split with last years cellar dwellar Edited April 3, 2006 by HLfan68

HLfan68
well they r some weak teams but there r alot of good ones too. clarksville, page, greenbrier, huntland, and white house to name the tough non district games. but not all of them r hard. this district can be draining and everyone wants an "easy" game every now and then. 15 NWTF 08
straightbill, love the quote at bottom of posts. as far as talent goes, have u seen wavo play HL, no we havent played Sycamore yet, wait till the 10th...and well how is MC in the top 4, they are 1-3, fairview is 2-1, havent played really anyone. And waverly had one bad inning against Creekwood, thats all it took. But seriously, looking at scores has nothing to do with seedings, quality of wins nothing, but the number of wins and losses are key, not who they play. No sir
HLfan68
youre an idiot if u think that. sycamore had TWO bad innings against creek wood and lost by one and had FIVE bad innings against harpeth and lost by 5. waverly is not good. maybe next year but this is not the year, sorry. and montgomery central is in the top 4 because they beat ripley and jackson south side. who in the world has waverly or fairview beaten that is even worth mentioning? stewart and cheatham? wow, im SO impressed. bignasty2
yo hlfan you didnt talk sycamore up? there was a whole thread on coacht about how good sycamore was remember? and quit sayin they came back and they played like crap and what if and all that crap they just lost. it will look a whole lot better for you if you just be quiet and then show everybody up on the field. quit sayin yea this one counts cause we almost won and just win. BTW, Fairview has played a couple of good non-district opponents. They handed Nashville Christian (8-1) there only loss of the season. Lost to a good Hickman Co. team by a run. Sycamore's schedule so far is a little better but not by too much. The season is early and for you to say that Fairview and other teams are a joke is just idiotic, because you haven't seen these teams play enough to know who is good and who isn't. All you have to go by is record, and that is why I said Sycamore has to pick it up if they want to be considered a top team in the district, cause right now they are not playing well having lost 3 in a row. War Eagles
Who cares about the standings right and who's winning in the district as of right now. It doesn't matter until the district tournament.
kingcohn
What are the current standings and records up to this point? Records play a role in where teams are seeded for the district tourney.
