Solomon
I've watched 3 of the 5 games in the series so far, and I like this version of Kobe. Gerry said it earlier, but he's playing team ball right now. It's much more enjoyable to watch for me, and actually makes me want to pull for the Lakers again. Solomon
I've not been a Lakers fan since the Diesel left but now that they are looking like a team, it also makes me want to pull for them.... I became a fan in Game 6 of the 87 Finals. Had Boston won that game, I would probably be a Celtics fan. Alas, LA did and I became a Lakers fan. I was probably the only 11 year old outside of CA cheering for the Lakers against the Bulls in 91. The Kobe "me first " attitude got really old. My thoughts were if Dr. Buss cared more about money than winning then I would find another team. But, Jackson is a great coach, and somehow has gotten Kobe to play team ball. Odom has really progressed as a #2 man over the last half of the season, and Luke Walton is playing great. To me, Kobe may be the best player, but if you take Walton out, then I'm not sure they are in this position. He is just a catalyst to get things stared. The "team" concept is a sight for sore eyes for L.A.. fans.
gotmilk?
For the person that said Kobe had no talent around him, they need to look again! This may be the best I have seen Kobe play, he is actually making passes and not worrying about scoring 40-50 a game!!!
Gerry Bertier
For the person that said Kobe had no talent around him, they need to look again! This may be the best I have seen Kobe play, he is actually making passes and not worrying about scoring 40-50 a game!!! That is what I have been trying to say this entire thread. If Kobe does a little less and let his teammates do more this team will have success. Phil has convinced Kobe of this and they are on their way to a playoff series victory. THE SQUAD
I'm looking forward to the Clippers vs. Lakers series if the Lakers can finish off the Suns. Did you ever think you'd hear that the Clipps were waiting to see who they'd face in the 2nd round? THE SQUAD
Clippers will beat the Lakers..... I hope so. It's great to see them finally winning! I'm sure there are a small few Clippers fans who have stuck with them through all those terrible years. Imagine how they feel today!
