I would have to check with Coach Stiles on the score. He is still on staff. He does most of the scouting, and is pretty dang good at it. He did it for UT like a thousand years ago. He also coached at Ole Miss. I'm almost positive it was Chris Shepherd's sr year. (95 season) he was #33 a rb with sub 4.4 40 speed on good days. He touched the ball virtually every snap. Shepherd holds most of the records (career and single season) at Cosby in football. Could've played college ball at a lot of schools.

1. Friendship Christian-very good football team

2. South Pitt (only team in 1a that can defeat FCS)

3. Trousdale Co.-Satterfield will have these boys ready come playoff time.

4. Fayette Academy- decent team in West TN. Could represent West TN in the finals.

5. Mt. Pleasant- pretty good football team

 

These are the five best teams. Sorry, Cosby doesn't even come close to making the list. Slim Jimmy thinks that if Cosby played any of these teams, they would get beat by 35.

What do you mean "prove a point"? I had no expectations of you putting Cosby in that list. I wouldn't put Cosby in that list. You have yet to understand I have never said Cosby was the best, near the best, possibly the best, or anything like that, team in the state. I asked for your top five so when you speak of "elite" I know what is actually in your head. I don't have a problem with your list, but I just thought it would be nice to have it on record for all the teams you have called muffins, biscuits, (some form of food) in case some of them slip up and make a run at somethin this year. Cause we all know how you like to change your mind about something after the fact. As bad as I hate to, I gotta agree with Rangebook, I'm sick of this horsecrap. Let's move on.

I wouldn't go considering Hampton a lock for the final 4 just YET... there's some solid Region 2 teams they'll have to go through to get to the semis. There is A LOT that can happen between now and mid to late November, so don't put the cart ahead of the horse just yet.

I don't know pujo, South Pitt is up there in that mix, but I'd say it is to early to tell. I don't know if you remember me, but me and my buddy came up there and sat with you all at the cloudland/boyd game in 02 after yall beat us (Greenback). Now I'm just a spectator. What has happened to cloudland this year? are they rebuilding? Greenback sure is. They've got coach kilpatrick (the o-coordinator when I played) as the head coach now. He is trying to pass the ball like we did when I played, but they are to young and lack the speed for that. I got to see the cloudland/coalfield game last season. That one went down to the wire. I'm sure that next season cloudland and greenback will be playing some good ball again. How did cosby get good this year? Fluke? have a good group of seniors? or ar they just trying to kick the landers while they are down? I know this cosby guy wouldn't be talkin this kind of smack if players like byrd and birchfield were still around. By the way what are those to guys doing these days? do ya know? I'd hope that they are doing well. Those guys are 2 of the best athletes I have ever played against.

Actually, Cosby has beat Cloudland before. It was at Cosby in the mid 90's under HC Wayne Stiles. If you'll scroll back through some post you'll notice that it wasn't Cosby doin the postin to start off with after the game. As long as people keep replying, just as you did there Ranger, I'll keep chattin with them. What I would like to know is where all this talk about "bragging, conceitedness, we think were the best in the state" where is everyone gettin that? Is my computer messed up cause I'm not seein those posts. Rangerbook your definitely free to feel that way if you like, but at least know that you won't find one post of mine where I haven't been respectful of your Rangers, even taken up for em this season, and the bulldogs as well, heck I've went to war with people on threads for them, so know who your preachin to before you get into the pulpit brother!

He feels that way eagle because Unaka is running scared. i think, actually I know, everyone in Stoney Creek expected a blowout win against Grace Christian. Well, just as expected, Unaka is ot as tough as everyone thought, and now they are feeling the pressure with the way Cosby has come out of the gate. I do beleive we have a better conferrence this year, maybe not the best, but it will be a good race to the end. once agan, Hats off to you Cosby!!!!
