GAME OVER!!!! The Indians have this one in the bag now we can look forward to kicking Jeff. Co.'s butt as well. Looks like we are the undisputed #1 overall team in the state of Tennessee. At the time right now it is 28-3. I say that it ends 35-10. I bet the DB student section is saying "maybe next year, maybe next year, maybe next year".......... "probably not, probably not." Then the keys will come out eventually and Oak Ridge will have to throw in the towel.

Well that was just plumb ugly from an Oak Ridge standpoint. Old bud said early in the week that the team that makes the fewest mistakes will win, and that is what happened. Oak Ridge could do nothing right. First two possessions and fumbles on each resulting a DB score, then an interception resulting in a DB score. Shheeessshhh whatta night.

Kudos to the DB team though, they bought their "A" game and took it to Oak Ridge. They lived up to their hype, DB can talk it and walk it!

As for Oak Ridge, do not count them down and out over one loss. they will be back and will be in the post season, and probably a rematch with the Tribe. History tells us that meeting is something different.

The beginning of the game was a hoot. Neither team wanted to take the field first. OR was waiting on DB and DB was waiting on OR. Game time came and went and neither coach blinked. OR was finally forced to take the field by the ref's who assessed a five yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. The rule book says a second penalty is fifteen yards, and if they still do not take the field then they forfeit. The penalyt is assessed to the home team. You just know that is coming back to haunt DB when we visit them.

Fridy night football...........................whoda thunk it. :thumb:

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
