JCM @ Henry County

Recommended Posts

If the better team wins...it will be HC...because over the course of the season, you have probably proven to be better than JCM...HOWEVER, if the TOUGHEST team wins and the HARDEST HITTING team wins...it will be JCM!!!!! If this comes down to a battle of "hornblowers"...the YANKER predicts a dead heat...JCM has no hornblowers and HC has lost theirs!!!! I AM THE YANKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Yanker, talk about giving yourself an out....... If HCs QB is even at 75% they will defeat JCM no problem.

By the way, did I miss something. Did HC do away with the horn blower? I mean they blew it last week while SS was attempting a field goal.....twice.... I wouldnt expect them to show you guys any more courtessy....

I appreciate that Yanker. As bitterly as I argued with you last year, I have come to like and respect you as well. But just keep an eye on #34 from the backfield. What I really think is that there will be multiple collisions between these two. I doubt that #34 will "run over" Hogsett, just as much as I doubt that Hogsett will "flatten" #34.

I appreciate most of what you say but you are "DEAD WRONG" on this one my "Cephusly Incorrect" friend...your #34 will be FLATTENED by Hogsett!!!!!!!

Wow, I can't believe they've done away with the "hornblower". It didn't stop South Side, so I guess I feel like its no big deal. JCM will not outhit and definitely won't outplay HC, don't worry. They have no offensive line, so I think HC will be putting lots of pressure on Hawkins (QB). He will be looking up at the stars a lot. He's a good kid, he just doesn't have a line that can stop HC's defense. SS sacked him, I have no doubt HC will.

GOOD LUCK HC

It is too bad that i will not get the opportunity to hit Hogsett or Hardin myself. But our offensive line will be hitting them all night long.

I appreciate your desire to change lines. But as you know and the rest of the D they have a couple of other players in their sights tomorrow. I have a feeling the JCM QB will have a long unhappy night and the JCM running attack will be very slight. Prepare for a lot on pass rushing.

Have a great game 57, pass it on to the rest of the D.

I hate that I will have to miss this game, but I will be in Brighton seeing my Indians get into the playoffs with a win over Brighton (if the officials stay out of the way). After the way the JCM - Brighton game went last year and even the fight that Brighton started at the NS game last year - you never know when you play that bunch. I truly believe we can beat them.

It still baffles me that if Hogsett and Hardin are so good, then why aren't they carrying the ball on offense as well? I know someone once said that Hogsett fumbled on his first carry his sophmore year and hasn't ran the ball since, but that was two years ago. Does he not deserve a second chance? It seems to me that JCM wastes these two talented boys by playing them on D only.

NS beat JCM because we played TEAM ball and JCM didn't. Yanker, you don't have to run through Hogsett. You just have to contain him and run around him. I think the HC coaches will have a good game plan and containing him and Hardin will be a major part of it.

IF JCM decides to play these two boys on offense, I think JCM might can make a game of it. JCM is now fighting to make it into the playoffs and they better try something new and that nobody has seen from them to pull off a win at HC.

I hope I can get radio reception in Brighton. What station will the game be carried on?

HC, do what it takes tonight on that field so that tomorrow you don't have any regrets. This night will only happen once in your life & there are no do overs, so make this one count! Be Safe & Play Fair ~till they play dirty~ then lay it on guys!

As I tell ya every Friday, "Whoop Tail Tonight & Good Luck"!!!!!!!!!

News Update:

From the mouths of some students the call on Randy was made by Ms. Poole. Something about he said the (######) word toward a game reff. It wasn't a call about his horn they said. He will be allowed to attend the game, but has to be escorted on & off the field. Yanker, don't be surprized if the crowd stands & cheers for him when he walks onto the field tonight. Randy Long is a legend of his own kind in HenryLand. They've even made a slogan about him, "Randy tutts my horn". JCM & Fans are in for a real treat win they enter The Patriots House. Don't forget your longjohns tonight. :D

Actually the vulgarity was directed at students in the band who were not performing music up to his expectations.

Henry County fans are very intelligent. They understand that Senior night is about

honoring students who have participated in the football program and other areas during their high school career. It would be very disapointing to make a spectical of a fan and detract from our student athletes. It should be about the players.

Randy is a good guy. He loves the Patriots and Henry County. That said he can get carried away in the moment and the snowball effect takes over. What he did was wrong and he is paying the price as he should.

As far as coming out on the field with his son during pregame. He is just like the rest of us. Proud of child and proud of the Pats. Will he get extra claps? Bell ringing? I would say so, not from what happened last game but for being a major part of bringing Red Pride Spirit back to Patriot Stadium. The Senior FB players would expect nothing less.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
