I highly doubt it. I don't really see Ooltewah getting past Dobyns-Bennett in the Qtrs. this year, but even if you do, I don't see anyone from the east getting past Riverdale in the semis. Ooltewah is just not strong enough to get past Riverdale in Murfreesboro, but the Owls have still had a great year and they are a really good football team.

The Owls have had a great year, undefeated regular season most likely, region 25A champs. By any standard a great year. They may win their first two playoff games but even that is not automatic. Bearden and a Sevtier County team that doesn't have to go to Blankinship field in round one might have the talent to end the owls season. There is no reason to mention Riverdale or anyone else in regions 3 & 4 cause the Owls will not make it past DB. The Owls will be at home watching the bluecross bowl. 25A was as weak this year as they were strong last year. Good Luck to all as this season winds down and the playoffs begin. As much as I would like to see a region 2 team in the championship game personally I think it is gonna be a region 1 team.

DB is overdue and this may just be the year for a classy program with great players, coaches and fans.

Region 2 is stonger than Region 1, this year Region 2 has a 4-1 record vs teams in Region 1..

WB (4) beat Sevier (2) 24-12

OR (5) beat Jeff Co (6) 48-7

Heritage (8) beat Campbell Co (7) 29-14

Farragut (2) beat Bearden (3) 27-14

OR (5) lost to DB (1) 10-33

Yep everyone just needs to write Ooltewah off. No one has given them any respect all year. Everyone is down this year because Oak Ridge is getting beat. Being undefeated in region 2 5a is nothing this year. :o DB should show up and they will beat the weak little Owls. Kinda like last year. :thumb: Besides that we don't have a classy program with great players and coaches and you know how our fans are  We just got lucky all year long. :o Has anyone stopped to think that Oak Ridge is down but a few of the other teams are really playing well? Because everyone except maybe a couple of teams has some tallent. I know that I am gonna get killed for this one.. but do ya think maybe total domination by Oak Ridge is a thing of the past? Just cause you have always dominated doesn't mean you always will. Go ahead and say it. "take your shots this year" Well we have taken our SHOTS two years in a row and Guess what? We will both have basically the same teams next year. Ooltewah is as young as Oak Ridge. Sorry Just something to think about?

    • If an attorney sees enough merit in the case they will take it and only collect if their client wins. Happens in civil cases all the time.
    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
