Ooltewah, State Champs?

Top 10...........probably. Top 5.......probably not. Champion.......NO.

Is that a bold statement? No. I just think there are many Owl fans who are a bit blinded here. You have to be able to make statements about your team by acting as if you are not for them. WB should not have beat Sevier County, WB should not have beat ORHS, and WB was lucky to beat Bradley. I am able to admit that. I am biased, but I am also able to see reality. I am also sure that Ooltewah is better than what they played against the Govs, but I don't care who you are for, you surely have to agree that the Owls were very fortunate to win that game.

Am I not seeing this clearly? Am I the only one who can tell when their team was lucky to win? It seems to me that you guys just think you have won every game and deserved to win every game are going to win the rest of the games and finish 15-0. If you guys are players on the team, that is fine. You should be a little blinded. However, if you guys are thinking this way and are adults, then I think your thoughts are a bit skewed. But, you know what, that is fine. that is what this board is for. It is to waste time, and, unfortunately, I have wasted more than enough.

But William Blout DID beat Sevier County and that is all that matters. How does Ooltewah not deserve the win? That doesn't make any sense at all. Why are us adults thoughts a bit skewed? You make all of these accusations but can't back them up. I would love to read a knowledgable post from you.

Dont kid yourselves Region 25A is probably one of the weakest regions in the state this year. I think the reason everyone is saying how tough 25A is could be because everyone beat OR. I am an OR fan and saying OR lost 4 games in a weak region is not a good thing. That is however what happened. Home field doesn't mean quite the same thing at OHS without the homecookin officals. I hate that local officals call any games anywhere T$$AA should at least try to make it fair but thats another topic all together.

I will be glad to put up my predictions for playoff games how bout you?

What are your reasons why this region is so weak? You say it is weak but why do you state that? What is this about Ooltewah and homecookin officials? Ooltewah has never been known for that until after the WB game. Just because Oak Ridge isn't at the top of the region doesn't mean it is down this year. Thats like saying next year if Ooltewah is 5-5 then region 2-5a is weak...

Sounds good to me. What's your prediction for the first round? Here's mine:

William Blount over Dobyns Bennett (Upset special of the week, probably picking with my heart)

Farragut over Bearden

McMinn County over Sevier County

Ooltewah over Science Hill

I have watched several 5A games this year, mostly teams from the eastern part of the state. I also saw the White Station/Wooddale game, and have seen Cookeville, Riverdale, and a couple of others. Also, the facts show that 2-5A has beate 1-5A three of four games this year, so far. How weak does that make 1-5A?

I would agree that that 2-5A is not as strong at the top this year, but they are much deeper than previously. There were only three legitimate contenders for the title last year, while severaly years have come down to only two teams, and the last playoff teams will only be decided this week--the last week of the regular season.

I don't believe Ooltewah will win the state this year, as you will see from previous posts. However, credit is due to the Owls, who are very young, and have far exceeded the expectations of most prognosticators. Most teams would kill for a 10-0 season. I am not going to criticize these young people from Ooltewah for supporting their team. In fact they are not the only ones on this site who are biased toward their team--it seems the whole of CoachT is shock full of biased posters. So, let them enjoy their team. It's a credit to the entire community how far that program has come.

Discovered today that Woods (QB) and Buchanan (FB) will not play on Friday against Soddy Daisy. They apparently are expected back for the playoffs. Do you guys from Ooltewah know much about this?

Probably gonna give the Junior Connor Pepping and a Freshman FB a little PT this year, Not like they are playing Riverdale.

Woods was wearing a sling yesterday at school. I think he said it was his wrist. It wasn't on today though, I think it was just a soreness thing. Probably fine at least for the playoffs.

Buchanon seperated his shoulder sometime during the OR game. I don't know how serious that one is, but Coach Greene didn't say anything about it in class yesterday when we were talking about the playoffs. I think he may not play during the Soddy game at all.

Interestingly enough, IIRC these are the first two injuries we've had all year. That's certainly helped us.

    • Y’all boys can’t spell discipline. Probably lead the state in personal fouls last year. Being halfway disciplined in 1 game against Smith County in 3rd round doesn’t dismiss the rest of the season. “Shoulda” won the state championship but those mouths got the best of you yet again. Marion already had a lot more retuning than y’all this year. Adding these 2 D1 kids will 100% make a major impact. Marion will stand on business this year. They haven’t forgotten. I’m just keeping it real
    • MC upgraded with 2 studs. If they can’t get it done this year with a generational speed talent in Pickett then I’m not sure they ever will. Huge favorite in the East currently.    Multiple offers from FCS calls for gold.
    • no they will be tough for sure
    • Marion just jumped ER as the favorites in the East. Two big time transfers for y’all kinfolks. Bullseye has been set now. I said it the last two years it is time and both times y’all let me down. Can’t say you’re short on talent this year or that you’re young. Time to put up or shut up. Surely y’all can get over the hump this year. I’m just keeping it real
    • Should have won by 30 last year if we played discipline at the very least. May have got 2 dogs up front but remember we have the best DL in the state on our team. Also added a 6’6” 320lb O lineman.
