all i will say about this game is in 99 ( i think) we were saying the same thing about a 5-5 dickson county team who when firday night was over there season continued YES RIverdale should win but if you dont stay focused on your goals and do as the coaches say you wont play the next week

 

wasn't Riverdale ranked nationally at that point?

If memory serves, we had just cracked the USA Today Top 25.

but then, on a Friday night at MTSU:

The only loss that almost shocked as much was

in 1996 when we lost in the second round to

Jefferson County after several overtimes 41-44.

 

We had went to Jefferson County in week 3 and

won 35-14. But the little quarterback was big

that night for Jeff Co at MTSU - we kept knocking

him down and he kept getting up.

 

And a few years later a Dickson Co quarterback

did the same thing to us...

I believe your thinking of Ray Barnes( I think that's his name anyways) He made a central a powerhouse in the 90's
